Palin 2014

Posted on 11/27/2009 11:35:38 AM PST by razorsharp

Is Sarah Palin really intending to run for President in 2012? Or is it all a diversion just set herself up to reclaim Ted Steven's old senate seat for the GOP in 2014?

I hope it's the latter, she could better serve the GOP in the Senate.

Plus, it would really be a burr under the saddle of the Democratic Jackass.

I don’t know. You think she could serve a whole six-year term start to finish?

Senators are worthless criminals. She should never become a Senator.

Friend, it’s absurd to advocate for Sarah Palin to run for anything less than President of the United States in 2012.

She is our very best hope to not only re-capture OUR White House from the scumbag Marxist now occupying it, but to also lead the charge from the right to restore our nation across the boards.

Given everything that’s happened in the last year, I don’t know how you could actually hope that our best and brightest would run for a lesser office.

You might want to check this thread to see where conservative sentiment is on this question:

I must admit that would be my prefernce. The slime ball that took Steven’s seat needs to go ASAP! However, since she quit I don’t know if she could defeat him. There is a lot of negative sentiment against her up here.

Frankly, we could do without the current Republican senator also. Lisa Murkowski. She’s every bit as wishy washy as her dad was.

Normally one does not call another FReeper a troll who has 10 years seniority.

But here.... We can make an exception.

Read her book. She makes it clear why she’s not interested in the Senate. It would be a waste of her talent.

Absolutely. If one trolls, one should be called a troll. I’m a charter member and I want Sarah in 2012 and anyone who disagrees is a troll. :)

LOL I like Huck, but that was funny!

Palin is running for President if God leads her in that direction.

Sarah would spank Begich if she ran against him. If the scandal about Begich and the Labor contract broke before the last election he would not be Senator. Although Sarah would spank Begich I think it would be a cop out for her to run as Senator. She need to run for President or get off the pot.

yeah ok. A candidate that draws anywhere from 2,000 to 4,500 people out into the wet and cold is going to run for a Senate seat? That would be like a NFL starting quarterback deciding he wanted to play for arena football league.

Palin will either run for President or she will be a major major kingmaker in the GOP. She would never settle for the low life job of a Senator.

funny. It seems to me that since July 4th Palin has been working full time attacking and trying to stop Obama, the democratic Congress marxist policies. while at the same time writing and promoting her book. AND Campaigning for pro life causes and doing all this taking care of 1 baby, one 7 year old, one teenager. and helping with her grandchild.

yeah we got a real quitter on our hands.

I wonder if the facts have every got in the way of a liberal rant?

Senators almost never make good presidents...the current one just adds to my argument. Sarah already has the executive experience to be president (unlike the current occupant) and adding legislative experience won't do much for her presidential resume.

I believe that Sarah is laying the groundwork for a presidential run in 2012. She's got a headstart over the rest of the field and contrary to conventional media spin, she is not damaged goods and she has plenty of time to redefine herself and expand her base.

She is still 12-18 months away from announcing her candidacy but look at the crowds and buzz that is already surrounding her. I am starting to get the feeling that if she wants it (the GOP nomination), she will be unstoppable.
