Worse possible outcome of civlian trials for POWs
none

I am off on another trip to nowhere, and won't have time or ability to search for a respected journalist who will stumble onto what I think is the biggest risk associated with this ridiculous decision to try KSM and friends as civilians.

“There are so many things that could go wrong here for America. But Obama and Holder are convinced that if the American people are constantly reminded about waterboarding and Abu Ghraib, it will translate into fewer Democratic congressional seats lost in the 2010 and 2012 elections, and re-election for Obama in 2012.”

Bingo! It’s always about the power and money...and taking everyone’s attention off the healthcare power grab.

It is instructive to study how Soros made a fortune by nearly destroying the British economy. Barry Soetoro is helping Soros to accomplish a similar outcome in the U.S. while leading the nationt oward the one-worl currency which is already printed and awaiting distribution when the American dollar is fit only for starting fires.

George Friedman, Stratfor

Snip

“International law is actually not particularly ambiguous about the status of the members of al Qaeda. The Geneva Conventions do not apply to them because they have not adhered to a fundamental requirement of the Geneva Conventions, namely, identifying themselves as soldiers of an army. Doing so does not mean they must wear a uniform.”

Snip

“Holder has opened up an extraordinarily complex can of worms with this decision. As U.S. attorney general, he has committed himself to proving Mohammed’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt while guaranteeing that his constitutional rights (for a non-U.S. citizen captured and held outside the United States under extraordinary circumstances by individuals not trained as law enforcement personnel, no less) are protected. It is Holder’s duty to ensure Mohammed’s prosecution, conviction and fair treatment under the law. It is hard to see how he can.”

Go to the article if you have time. Actions carried out on the order of someone in another country are going to complicate matters tremendously for Atty Gen Holder.

Obama and Holder don't care about justice. They don't care about national security. They only care about winning elections.

I don't think its that limited. They are hell-bent on communizing the U.S. and brainwashing the 30's and under generations into being their servants ala' Mao and his Great Revolution. They are his footsoldiers for imposing tyranny.

Elections will no longer be allowed to go against them. Witness the clear fraud by electoral officials in the Iron Range in Minnesota...and the compliant Minnesota Supreme Court with the Colman-Franken race...and the brazen non-counting of Conservative votes in dozens of districts in the NY 23rd race...going so far as to report "Zero" such votes in a number of them...

Notice how this "president" has embraced the electoral frauds in Iran, and Venezuela, and is so far out of sync with supporting Constitutions...that it is pushing for the restoration of an duly-IMPEACHED Honduras ex-President Manuel Zelaya...

I guess it’s a matter of “doable vengeance”. I got the reference to what you’re speaking of, and we can’t do a thing about them. We cannot stop them or take our vengeance upon them. They (unfortunately) have laws that protect them.

However, KSM is a FOREIGN person, is an ENEMY COMBATANT, and he has violated laws on the books right now. If we CAN give him the death penalty, then we MUST.

(As for abortionists...it’d take a miracle. God’s gonna have to do that...we can’t.)

Imagine further however just how demoralizing if THE terrorist master-mind, KSM, is ACQUITTED because the evidentiary rules of apprehension and incarceration and treatment were not followed, and the court is left with no choice...

Picture the result of that acquittal... with Obama saying "justice is done"....what will our troops feel...especially as he fails to send reinforcements?

This travesty was all made possible by procastination in having the military tribunals kicked into high gear before the election...or a lot sooner.

Now the treasonous betrayer-in-chief is able to further sabotage America with his evil and dastardly malfeasance...
