After further reflection I would have to say you are right.
I just thought it was inappropriate for her to represent us in a cemetery on Veterans Day dressed as she was.

Remember the empire dress from the 60s and 70s?
She's feeling empirical,as an empress should,so why not dress the part?
After all,this is an Empire,not a Republic......for now.
That belt will turn into a black armband for the fall of her husband's beloved empire in 2012,when the Republic returns triumphant.

Michelle’s attire cries out, “Look at me, look at me.” With these people, it isn’t about the veterans, it’s about THEM. She desires to stand out like a turd in a punch bowl. Michelle must bring constant attention to herself. Like a 2 year old child, she can’t help it. She needs to look in the mirror, however, and fire her wardrobe czar.

Eh what she was doing wrong was not what she was doing in the photos, but what she did before the photos—what she did was put on a totally inappropriate outfit for the occasion.
Our family was at a funeral over weekend—an 87-year old, so not nearly as solemn, and no one dressed like that. my 18 year-old daughter dressed more appropriately than our first “lady.”
This was an extremely solemn ceremony given the situation. She was supposed to be honoring them and representing USA? Wearing that? Had my daughter come downstairs wearing that “ensemble,” I would have made her change.
Colors too light for the occasion, too casual with the boots, boots did not match the spring-like coat, coat too small for dress. Don’t even get me started on the belt?! Who wears a boob belt in first place let alone over a coats???!!!
We will hear from Pravda that she was making some sort of fashion-forward statement. I am sure the state-runs would have been all over Laura Bush had she worn that ensemble.

Oh, as an aside, I was curious and Googled images and found a pic of Laura Bush wearing basic black dress and coat at a Vet. ceremony—that was at a museum, not graves at a cemetery....

The First Lady, Michelle Obama no more wants to honor our brave, loyal dead military men *& women then she wants to dine on swiss cheese on the surface of the Moon. If you believe otherwise, I have a bridge in Brooklyn, New York I would like to sell you!!!!

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.
