don’t go with plasma; lcd’s are the best
I don’t know which one you should get but buy several before they’re outlawed!!!!
We have the Samsung LCD LED and love it. It’s t-h-i-n!
Vizio is probably the best price.
I recommend a 15 inch flat screen. Mrs. Genoa and I have ours hidden away in the library on a bookshelf. We watch it only on rare occasions. We’re readers, and we love avoiding the trash that’s dished out even on the best of channels.
I have a “47 Vizio. $1100 at Wally World. I love it.
Plasmas don’t have a very good reputation. They don’t last very long and they cost quite a bit to run.
LCDs are not quite as crystal clear.

I bought a VIZIO 32” LCD in the spring of 2008. I am very pleased with it. VIZIO has a good reputation.

Sweet!
Sharp LCD.
I have one and I love it.
I agree Samsung is the best
Sony would be my 2nd choice although I would prefer Samsung.
I have a Samsung in my daughters room - excellent picture and TV overall.
My oldest son bought a Sony Bravia - also really great TV.
Next son has a Polaroid - although nice picture and color, would have preferred 2 first posted.
Have an RCA in the living room - hate it! Color is not as crisp and bright as the other TV’s.
That’s my take!

Spend the $30 or so and go to Consumer Reports and look there.
Are projection TV’s worth looking at? Your screen could be as big as your whole wall.
Mitsubishi’s line of 60” + DLP’s 1080P HDTVs are absolutely wonderful (and affordable)! Check them out if you’re not completely set on LCD/Plasma.
I was always a Sony fan until I purchased a Samsung. I own a 34” and a 60” Sony as well as a 52”, 32” and 22” Samsung (I know I have too many TV’s). The picture on my 720p Samsung is crisper than the one on my 1080i Sony and the Samsung cost a lot less. I believe the cost and performance of the Samsung is far and above that of the Sony.
Also if you can go for 1080p rather than 720p. That is probably the difference between my living room TV and the Sony and Samsung both are 1080p where my living room is only 720p.
Also, stay away from the plasma tv’s - they don’t have the lifespan of a lcd.
