Speaker Gingrich on Fox News this morning: Outstanding. Dems are "Socialists"!

Posted on 11/01/2009 6:25:47 AM PST by Cringing Negativism Network

It almost seems Speaker Gingrich's climb-down in the NY23 race, has liberated him.

Gingrich was on Fox News this morning, and not once but serveral times referred to democrats with the "Socialist" word. He was great.

That’s the secret to RINOs and why republicans keep electing them: they say what they need to say to get what they want. Newt is a jerk and needs to stop trying to influence the party.

He needs to go away, or become a commentator for the WNBA (same thing).

Now, that's funny. True but funny.

"It was great

Sorry, I couldn't disagree more. I was yelling at him for being the party line jerk he is. He also stated he didn't believe the NY23 race means anything in the grand scheme of things. He refused to acknowledge that the Conservatives "won". What I heard was Newt still carrying GOP water while diminishing the significance of our movement.

Nope, IMO Newt is now irrelevant.

Newt has his finger in the air checking the political winds.

You give him far too much credit. He said he supported the Communist because 11 members of the local GOP committee vited for her.

He wieghed in on the race with zero research, thinking that his name would carry the day. At least Pawlenty was honest enough to say he was not following the race closely.

Newt can never be counted on. He is a smart man, but an unprincipled and an unbridled one. He was cheating on his second wife by sleeping with a DEMOCRATIC staffer during the Clinton years—now his third wife.Think that didn;t play a role in why he was shut down by the Clintons in 1995?

Newt had no problem sitting on a couch with Nazi Pelosi, trying to convince us global warming is real.Cap and trade is a good deal, according to Newt. That’s traitorous in my book.

He has no problem crapping on conservatives. He is a chameleon, a cousin to the newt. In other words, a political whore.

The real leader in this race was Sarah Palin. She called out the RINOs who were supporting a Communist and rebranding the Communist as a Republican, and Palin threw her support to Doug Hoffman, and changed the race. That’s because Sarah is principled and controlled. And Palin is not testing the political winds to see which way they are bloewing first.

Newt is a smart man, but he thinks he so smart that he can blow smoke up everyone’s rear. Those days are over.

He’s a historian. Well, history is going to change bigtime in 2010—hope he sees it coming.

Don’t concern yourself with Newt being rehabilitated. He is not worthy of your sympathy or help. He needs to go co-write some more historical novels. He’ll do just fine.

But his day is over. There are new and better leaders on the horizon.

snuggled up to Pelosi on the sofa on national TV to point out the need for bipartisanship to combat the effects of man made global warming? The POS lost many of us at that moment.

That's when he lost me. Then I saw him cuddling with Sharpton and there's no chance that I will ever support him again.

If he started as a democrat, and with age and responsibility realized he was wrong, I could accept that, I really could. I know I read a quote on here about being a liberal when your young and a conservative when your old.

But this man came out of the gate as a conservative. His contract with america is what put him on the map. He has since gone liberal. It is all too obivious he is riding whatever coattails he thinks will keep his books selling and invites from the MSM coming.

IF he has truly learned of his folly, the ONLY way for him to proceed is QUIETLY supporting the candidates that are conservative. He needs to fall in line and not jump in front of the parades. There is a reason he has NOT aligned himself with the tea party movement. They don’t want him. His only hope is to continue to support “moderate republicans”. That is what he hung his hat on, and conservatives aren’t buying what he’s selling.

When Newt is good, he’s good .... but he lacks consistency and you know that there will be more smack-the-palm-to-the-forehead statements forthcoming.

Agreed. Agree or disagree with him, the man is a gifted orator and is always well thought out, able to break down and explain his positions. If he jumped on the conservative team, he’d be a useful tool against those socialistic libs.

Newt see’s the wave coming... and key here is “see’s the wave coming. This is a clear indication to us all that CHANGE is coming... and not the CHANGE zero had in mind for us all.

I didn’t see this and there wasn’t any link, so I can’t really comment on what he said.

But I’m glad he’s had an epiphany, because he could be useful. I don’t think he’s particularly trustworthy, because he does seem to cut his sheets to the wind, but certainly if he does come on board with real conservatism, he could be helpful.

But I think he’s shown that he’s very DC, that is, way too adaptable and wanting to be loved by the Dems.

..did Newt react to the reports that Scozzafava, whom he endorsed, is now quietly telling her supporters to back the Democrat?

How many do-overs does Newt get? Newt and Lindsey Graham no longer speak for true conservatives. They speak for the good of the moment. I don’t trust either of them to stay with their principles.

Newt is simply another political opportunist.

He made himself irrelevant to me when he pimped for Scozzafaza(sp?).
