I just wanted to warn people thinking of taking their kids to see Miley Cyrus. My daughter took my two grandchildren yesterday to her show in Milwaukee. She received no warnings from Ticket Master when buying the tickets and sure wishes she would have.
Thinking she is a Disney star and with no warnings she was SHOCKED at the show. She told me that her brother opened the show and was disgusting removing clothing and simulating sex acts.
When Miley appeared she told the audience she did a lot of growing up, mind you the audience was filled with kids ranging from 5-10 years old. Then she went on with the show and according to my daughter her act looked like she practiced it on one of those stripper poles.
Parents were looking at one another shaking their heads there was a lot of stunned silence she is very upset with the whole show saying it was disgusting and they should have been warned. The show is certainly not appropriate for the kids so if you know someone who is planning on going you would do well to warn them.
I agree. She’s a very ordinary looking girl who’s trying to come off as a sex kitten. It’s not going to work, Miley. You’re not attractive.

I have seen three or four references to her father on this thread. Does the girl not have a mother?
Kids don’t stay kids forever. I think most folks should get over it and turn the judgment mode down just a hair.
Go to a college or high school and look around. She’s not setting the trend. She’s following it.

Trends don’t just happen. They are for the most part the result of people emulating those they look up to. She is admired by millions of little girls...
Pretty Woman caused an increase in teen prostitution. But we are supposed to believe that the constant depravity we see in movies, music and among famous people has no impact?
I’m not for the trend. I’m just not blaming Miley Cyrus for it.
Speaking for myself, I don't listen to her anymore. I don't like her skankiness.
I think they have all gone to that in recent years. Although Christina Aguilera has now gone back to a much cleaner image.
Record executives are always pushing to change things up to keep performers interesting. When it isn’t based so much on talent it is necessary to keep changing the image.
Oh well, I guess it wasn't that important...

Both of those reasons make me sad! My 10 year old daughter has heard of Hannah Montana from clothes at Walmart and her cousins but I don’t think she has ever seen her picture. She knows her real name in Miley Cyrus, I think.
Disney is selling their new Lolita to pervs, not to 8 year old girl fans.
I have worked with kids for many years and you bringing an 8 yo child to concert like this is why I frequently ask this question “What are you thinking”
I really hope you forgot the “sarc” tag.....It would be one thing if you knew this would be a child themed concert but it is not. This is not an appropriate venue for a child....

yes..i thought because her father SEEMED to care in a way different than her predecessor’s fathers... and because she seemed to be heading down the right path... but I was wrong..
