Both of those reasons make me sad! My 10 year old daughter has heard of Hannah Montana from clothes at Walmart and her cousins but I don’t think she has ever seen her picture. She knows her real name in Miley Cyrus, I think.
Having raised 3 kids, I know the pressure to give in to things. However, I was always aware I was NOT their friend, I was their mother. I’m so glad I kept that perspective because they are all now grown men and I enjoy them immensely. And, I would have to say that they are people I would be friends with if I just knew them and wasn’t their Mom. :)
