You mean he really got the money? From what I have seen, usually the organizers try to figure out a way to screw the guy out of his winnings. But then again I'm very cynical, I'm from ILL-I-Noiz. International headquarters of theft and corruption.

About 4 years ago I was hole monitor for one of the holes at a Red Cross golf tournament. My job was to wittness a hole in one.
There was one. The prize for my hole was not a million $$$ but a new Cadillac.
It was pretty exciting for all and as a nongolfer, totally blew my mind

Yeah probably 150 yards. Not a particularly challenging par 3. I am not very good but I have come pretty close lately on tougher and longer par 3s but close “don’t” count.
