It will take a revolution. Hopefully not an armed one. But I’m not sure.

Yes, if we can restore Congress’ fear of the people. At this point I think they consider us only an annoyance to them. I believe they think they can exhaust us with their broad and relentless assault on freedom.

Yes.
Only the faint of heart would give up on this great nation and forget the sacrifices of the heros of the past.

As more and more Americans are pushed to insufferable, the future becomes brighter. It will not be long until, once again, Facts are to a candid world.

It’s not worth saving. Too many fatal flaws. Better to let it go and start over.

"Can this republic be saved or is it too far gone?" "This republic," in it's truest sense has been gone for some time now. The true question is, "Can it be restored?"

No.
I am sad to say it but no.
The blue staters and red staters do not even speak the same language anymore.
I have had my positions hardened since 2004 and especially since 2006 with the dumblecrat takeover of Congress. We may win back some seats but the house is going to be Dumble again. We stand a better chance in the Senate where the conservative votes in a state can’t be gerrymandered.
That said, there are simply too many people who do not listen or pay attention or who are swayed by the promise of someone else’s wealth being used for their benefit. They are usually in the cities on the coasts. There are other enclaves, to be sure.
So I can forsee people like me just saying that we are not going to be a part of this mess anymore. They can find some other chumps to fund their insane schemes.
Hence I can think the unthinkable: that the Republic is lost.

Ask me in December, 2010. If we haven’t thrown the Democrats out of Congress, the country is a gonner.

I'm giving it till 2010. If we don't win big in 2010, then all bets are off. It may take bloodshed if the sheep haven't awakened by then. If conservatives take over, then maybe it can be steered back into the channel. If not, we run aground and all bets are off. I know these people. I've known them since the '60's. It's there religion to hate America and want to destroy everything. They hate God, America, and children. They are mentally broken and have no soul. We may as well be dealing with Al Quida. Obama has already decided to dismantle the Constitution or be a one term president. He has the wackiest of the wacky in charge of every branch of government, so the stars have aligned for him. It boils down to him or us, there will be no middle ground.
My concern is really with our side. Do we have the gonads to stick with it? Do we have more than 2-3 in a hundred that will stand up and fight? Where will the authorities come down? If the military and the police refuse to fire on civilians, we win by default. There are alot of variables that we can't know just yet.
A quick look at Honduras is a good example of what COULD happen. The honcho counted on the army and they arrested him and sent him packing. No bloodshed. If Americans wake up to the Constitution and have faith in it, then we may come together over principle rather than personality. If you go back and view Obama's election rally's versus McCain's, you see the Obama people shouting "Obama, Obama", and the McCain people shouting "USA, USA". A cultish personality brings people like Hitler and Stalin and the movement fails when the person fails. The USA is an idea and is harder to kill.

At that point, the potential for blood in the streets grows immensely. We will wish there had been less decorum in Congress instead of on the streets.
I am tired of Congress hiding behind the decorum when we soldiers in combat and those elite bastards in the Capitol are afraid to get their nose bloodied or offend their hyper sensitive constituents.

At this point, I think it is desirable for the country to break into pieces -- some people want freedom and some people want control. They can't coexist.
