It sounds totally beyond belief. But read the tantalising evidence from this boy's family and you may start to wonder...
The agonised screams pierced the air. 'Plane on fire! Airplane crash.' In the dark, a two-year-old boy was just visible, writhing on his bed in the grip of horror. 'He was lying there on his back, kicking and clawing at the covers like he was trying to kick his way out of a coffin,' remembers the boy's father.
'I thought, this looks like The Exorcist. I half expected his head to spin around like that little girl in the movie. But then I heard what James was saying.'
Over and over again, the tiny child screamed: 'Plane on fire! Little man can't get out.'
For his shocked parents, these nightly scenes were traumatic.
For experts, they were baffling.
As the nightmares became more terrifying, the child started screaming the name of the 'little man' who couldn't get out of the plane. It was James - like his own name. He also talked in his dreams of 'Jack Larsen', 'Natoma' and 'Corsair'.
James Leininger's father, Bruce, was flummoxed. In a desperate attempt to find an answer to his son's troubled nights, he embarked on an obsessive three-year research project, armed only with the outbursts and names his son had been shouting in his disturbed sleep.
What he discovered astonished and perplexed him, and drove him to an extraordinary conclusion.
A lifelong Christian, it was not the answer he had sought for his son's behaviour. But he came to believe James was the reincarnation of a World War II fighter pilot; a man who had been shot down in his plane and struggled to escape as it caught fire; a hero.

The part is in the whole and the whole is in the part. If you think of the Universe as a hologram with your brain acting as a lens of sorts, then this isn't much of a stretch of thought. Look up morphogenetic resonance.
Nonsense. People have their faith challenged every day, if they are living life at all.
Those who have real faith are not afraid to challenge everything they have been taught, everything that they have been told is sacred, and trust God to show them the truth.
Those who have no faith cannot fathom God's power and realm beyond the narrow-minded teachings of their own collective. To inflict such mental containment on others is truly evil.

The same One who always makes our souls. God.
No, you teach him so that you can have a kid who knows algebra.
Perhaps St. Peter doesn't "punch your ticket" until you arrive at the gate? Suppose ghosts are souls that hang around because they have something left undone before they finish their journey? Who can say...
If it is, as some insist, "demonic possession" what would be the point of that? In the instance reported the only thing changed were questions answered for the family with no particular harm done to anyone involved.

You teach the kid with the hope that he can know algebra.
If you knew the kid was incapable of learning algebra, with a 100% certainty, would you still persist?
So, Man would have forced God to put a soul in a body that was the result of artificial intervention, correct?
Right. Typically their faith is challenged by the scandal of evil and by temptation.
Those who have real faith are not afraid to challenge everything they have been taught, everything that they have been told is sacred, and trust God to show them the truth.
The Christian faith is a reasonable faith. Put to any test, it will pass. But the open mind is meant to close on truth. There is no reason for me to question whether Christ is the Messiah, because I know that He is. I know that He rose from the dead. I know that He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I know this more surely than I know what I had for breakfast this morning.

If you plant a tree it grows just the same as a naturally seeded one does yet no one speaks of "forcing" God to make the tree grow.
Or rather no, because I'm lazy and quick to give up on people. God is not lazy and never gives up until the end of their lives.
One seed grows into one tree. Agreed.
Here, one embryo, that would have grown into one individual, is instead forced to grow as multiple individuals, purely by the actions of Man.
If God has to supply more souls to what originally required just one, because of a process that Man initiated and controlled, then God has been forced to accomodate the actions of Man, and not the other way round.
You already know that the outcome will be a failure, with 100% certainty. For example (and purely for the sake of argument), assume that the kid is brain-dead.
Because, we have a chance to alter our test score....
We either answer A: correctly, B: not sure, C: I don’t want to answer the question D: whatever.
Keeping in mind the first time we take the test we might answer B, the next time we might pick C and eventually we might pick A. Remember it’s not just one test for us to
get it correctly. Each time you take a test your chances
are better that evenutally you will get your best score.
All the while the entity knows where your coming from and
where you are going....
I had a similar experience; the night my fiance died in 1989 in a plane crash, I dreamed I was walking high in the mountains when I saw her. She came running toward me and when we embraced, she looked at me and told me, “don’t ever let me go” and then immediately vanished into thin air right out of my arms. Hours later, her hysterical sister called me @ 6:30 am telling me she had been killed when the commuter plane she was on crashed...in the mountains.
In this country, each person has the right to believe and worship God as they see fit. I work with people from a variety of religious beliefs, and most of them are Christians of various sorts. For the most part, none of them are obsessed with changing the lingo and details of the others' beliefs. They don't feel compelled to quote selected passages constantly to prove or convince others that their particular flavor of Christianity is the "right" one.
For grown-ups in a free society, the details are not important, not nearly as important as the right of each person to choose their own spiritual path.
I talked to God about this, and He doesn't seem to mind us having this freedom to believe differently, so long as one person's beliefs don't interfere with the rights of others.
Souls enter the bodies of animals or other lower species if that is what they qualify for. THere are plenty of ants, amoebas and trees. ;-)
The body dies only once. Next time you die, you may not be a man!

I would say that you have honored her wish very well
because you still are holding on to her by not
forgetting her words....
My point is that it’s possible to interpret that line of Scripture to mean that John the Baptist was the reincarnation of Elijah.
Since the parents wrote a book about the pilot I have to assume they made this all up for profit.
The pilot’s sister seemed to enjoy meeting the boy though. Nice for her.
