This is an old story.
Reincarnation is not Christian and isn’t possible.
There is no “reincarnation”.
It’s demonic oppression.
This man needs to call the elders of the church to pray over his son and ask Jesus for deliverance from this oppression.
Better put on your asbestos suit!!
But this story is pretty hard to easily dismiss. They eventually found the plane (Right where the kid says it was!) and the odds of him coming up with all the info (names, places, times) just out of the blue is like zero.
Something else got mentioned last night on C2C. Some fellow who investigates death and near death experiences.
It’s not unusual for people to see dead relatives and have various visions right before they die. Understandable in a way.
But this guy says there are documented cases (rare) when the dying person has a vision... and SOMEBODY ELSE WHO IS WITH HIM/HER SEES THE SAME THING!
I got some shivers over that one...
Yup. “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” Heb. 9:27
My girlfriend had a strange thing happen with her son. He was about three and she walked into the room where her vanity was. Her son was apply makeup on himself like a pro (had never watched her do this in the past). She asked, “Justin, what are you doing?” He answered, “Doing my makeup like I did when I was a woman.” Creepy, huh?
He died a year later with a brain tumor.
“Its not unusual for people to see dead relatives and have various visions right before they die. Understandable in a way.”
There are what are claimed to be totally corroborated cases of identical twins where 1 dies and the other, far far away, knows it in a public place at that moment.
This should interest you, too (perhaps).
Who knows what he saw on T.V. ... .
They are quick to imitate.
I am sorry about his death ... .
I am a firm believer that there are MANY things in this world that only God can explain. I have always said....when I die....and if I make it to Heaven...I’ll be asking lots and lots of questions. ;-)
I’ve heard of that.
Plus a case where a youngster (not sure how old) had an accident and then had an NDE.
In the NDE, she saw somebody she knew and reported it to her family... nobody could figure it out, because the person she had seen was supposedly alive.
Not so. The person the child saw in the NDE had very recently died and the family wasn’t aware of it.
Anything is possible, and I say that as a Christian.
Exactly.
Glad that's been fixed this time around.
(sticks out tongue)
At worst, if you’re a Christian and believe this is possible, if it turns out to be false, the Lord will merely tell us after we die, “It ain’t so.” Y’know what I mean ? I’d rather die believing this is possible than like Ted Kennedy believing it’s OK to hamburgerize the unborn in the name of “choice.”
As a Christian, whatever it is, it is not reincarnation.
Metaphysics is beyond me.
“For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John. And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who was to come. He who has ears, let him hear.”
Thus saith the Lord.
I have wondered the same thing. And why do so many people claim to be, say Cleopatra? Do the souls divide up as time goes on?
An atheist or agnostic would agree with that, because there is no known mechanism for memories to be transplanted, dead or alive.
Look, all these stories have one thing in common...they all depend on “someone” saying thus and so happened, in this case, the parents. No objective proof, just hearsay that happens to be highly marketable to the tabloids. Case closed.
I believe this story to be true. God tells us that there are Ghosts, and he tells us not to meddle with them.
That isn’t the same thing at all as saying they “don’t exist”. They do.
