That video’s the first thing I thought of when I saw that pic, too.
He left TOTUS home & used notes. Arrogant manner - acting like he owned the place!
Still, I find this a fascinating, surreal photograph. The person taking it knows it is a once in a lifetime shot. If it were posed, it could not have been more satirical. Each subject giving an unspoken testimony of what they are about.
Here's my take:
Bill: “How much longer is this going to go on...whoa, check out the “skirt” on that sweet mama across the aisle..”
Hillary: “Well, I'll just rest my eyes for a min...zzzzzzzzzz.” (This woman really is asleep. Lately, business is slow and gosh darn it, the job doesn't seen to be so challenging. The really important stuff goes to the Czars anyway)
President Bush: Only two in the photo are actually looking at the speaker and only President Bush is really listening. His face shows the signs of a man who has overcome years of abuse from an organized media assassination. This man is pondering the words of the speaker. He understands propriety and acts accordingly.(Is it me, or does he really look at peace since his retirement?) Having faced the wrath of the media and “public opinion”, he truly knows the meaning of endurance. God bless him. He will always be President Bush to me.
Laura: She is slightly turned toward her husband as she always has been. She knows the trial and pain has made her stronger. Always, she conducted herself with grace and comportment. The presidency was her husband's position but her pain must have been unimaginable as she watched him endure the bitterness of those last years. What a lady! What she would like to do is point to this windbag speaker and call him to task for his hypocrisy, spit on the “royalty” around her and leave. She's too much of a lady to do it.
Jimmy: “ ummm...I think I was president once. I'll ask this nice lady next to me. Maybe she remembers.
Roselyn: “Did I remember to turn the iron off...
Mrs. Biden: “I hope I look like I'm listening...”
Biden: this man is really taking notes. “this eulogy has some prime stuff I can use...darn it, how is Massachusetts spelled?”
Michelle: This woman has the most pronounced under bite I've ever seen. Comes from years of clinching her jaw in anger against the white master's oppression. She is wondering if her husband's secret identity will be uncovered before his mission is completed. They have been so careful, still...(Being Lady Macbeth is stressful...Double, double, toil and trouble...and by the pricking of our thumbs,something wicked this way comes...)
Abomination:...”relax, Michelle...It's going just as I planned. This country will implode on itself in the 42nd month of my term, and I will be worshiped as God when I save the day. Oh the thrill of it makes me positively giddy! Hail Satan.”
