Libs are such hypocrites. Even Ted Kennedy's death illustrates the point.

Laws don’t matter to Demoncrats.

I’m almost shocked they bothered to change a law for what they demand. In NJ they changed the laws so Lousenberger could run after the running Demoncrat was indicted.

Wouldn't that be an ex post facto law? The seat is vacant and the clock has already started ticking for electing the replacement. Can they still switch the replacement method? What if it was one day before the election and it looked like a Republican was likely to win - could they change the selection method then?

Kennedy changed it when the governor was a Republican, so I guess they figure it was his right to change it back...as Rosanna Rosanadana would say, nevermind.

Is there not ONE Republican legislator in Mass. who has a pair and is willing to go to the mats over this and file a lawsuit if the Rats dare try and change the law?

(I don't know the composition so not sure if they could use a filibuster or even if its available)

I can't imagine that by doing so, would not tie this up in court for at least the 5 months (maybe longer?) period which is the time which the present law calls for a special election.

Even in death, Teddy is manipulating MA politics. All of this to ram another shlock piece of anti-Constitutional legislative tripe down the throats of the sheeple.

Drop the charades. Bring it all on... Let’s get it over with.

Don’t the voters in MA have any self respect? I mean, under the current law, the VOTERS have the power to elect their next U. S. Senator.

Are they going to willingly give up that power? Are they wimps and weenies?

(BTW, the root word for weenie is wee.)

I knew this was gonna happen. So Kennedy can give the country the same care he gave Mary Joe Kopechne.

This truly is an outrage. The law is not there to be manipulated at the whims of powerful families. Tyrants have been tarred and feathered for less. When the law is this fluid it is no law at all.

It is the rule of men, not law.

There should be angry mobs in the streets.

Fortunately, for the citizens of Massachusetts, one man stands poised with ample experience in filling vacant seats...

It's apparent the dims expect to NEED that vote in the fall.

"Moderate" dims have jumped ship...they're just not saying so in public.

Personally, I don't believe the dims can muster 50 +1, even with Biden, to pass deathcare.

Done.

Here is the text of the email I sent:

Dear Secretary Galvin,

My name is Xxx Xxx, and I am a Massachusetts resident. I am enquiring into the status of the special US Senate election.

With the passing of Senator Kennedy, the law stipulates there must be a special election to fill the vacant seat, which is to take place five months from Tuesday, on or before January 25, 2010. There is no mention of this on the web page for the Elections Division for the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth.

This election must be scheduled as a matter of law.

Also, how people can register to run for the open US Senate seat?

I would greatly appreciate an expedited response to the questions that I have posed. Please feel free to reply to this email.

Thank you,

Xxx Xxx
Xxx Xxx Avenue
Xxx, MA XXXXX
