RUSH: June in Greenwood, Arkansas. It's great to have you, thank you for calling, and welcome.

CALLER: Rush, it's an honor to speak with you.

RUSH: Thank you very much.

CALLER: I'm calling because I've had similar success on a weight loss program very similar to your program.

He uses Drs. Quick Loss Weight Center and their web site is getting hammered at 1:27 am EST.

The lady said she lost as much using protein or something. Anyone know what Rush is doing? He mentioned hoodia. He also said you had to cook your meals.

I do not need to lose 80 lbs but 15 to 20 would be nice without jogging a lot. I eat mainly chicken or turkey.

Any idea of what Rush is doing or supplements? I am not Al Gore's size but want to get to Edward's size so I can have adulterous affairs then lie about it and the baby. (just kidding)

If I avoid getting to Al Gore's size, significant amounts of CO2 will not be released.

Boy - Rush looks odd and younger.

CALLER: Uh-huh. And I looked online at the program you were using and I realized that the products were very similar to the ones I used. The protein supplements and things were very similar.

The above came from your link. She mentions 'online' - could it be his site that outlines his program?

He looks good - didn't see him before he lost his 82 lbs. No matter what - it's his conservative voice that's important to me! Wish him the best because he deserves it.

Oh no I wish him well too. It is just when people lose a lot of weight - they look “odd” because they do not look like what you are used to seeing. Almost like a different person. I saw this a few times with people I knew who lost 30 to 50 lbs.

Rush just points to Drs. Quick Loss. I was wondering if anyone knew what he uses?

Quick Weight Loss Centers’ Web site notes that the diet is “supplemented with proprietary weight loss aids.”

Quick Weight Loss Center (QWLC) program is low-carb and low-calorie. It contains protein, complex carbs, fruit, fats and some supplements.

I eat mainly chicken or turkey also, don’t have a weight problem but tried Hoodia to stop snacking so much. It seemed to work as an appetite suppressant, but gave me such heartburn I had to quit it.

You will not be able to eat white bread, pasta or corn on Rush’s diet.

******

Hoodia diet pills are one of the most popular supplements on the market today

Hoodia gordonii diet pills can play an effective part of an
overall weight loss plan if used correctly.

Keep in mind that the only thing that hoodia gordonii does is suppress appetite. It will not improve a bad diet nor will it address overeating problems. If you have a terrible diet and tend to overeat even when you are not hungry, hoodia diet pills will do absolutely nothing for you. If this describes you, you’ll be better off tackling those issues first before turning to hoodia diet pills – or any diet pills for that matter.

Heartburn or acid reflux is dangerous - acid acophagus (cancer).

I tried to avoid eating mammals. I sound like a pita member but I like pigs and cows. I also find red meat is too heavy.

My thing is carbs like cookies. I went to Sweet Tomatoes tonight to eat “healthy” but they have muffins, ice cream. etc. Their food quality has dropped. They had maccaroni that was the 58 cents a box variety. No small pizza slices and muffins are not that great.

Sweet Tomatoes is supposedly healthy with salads but loads on fat people pigging out on the other stuff. I do like but the food quality is way down.

Thanks. Yeah my doctor says - just do not eat the white stuff.

I generally eat well and go with whole wheat, diet sodas or water etc. It’s the da*n cookies.

Iam glad Rush has done something about his wt. He went on a program some years ago as I recall because his doctor said he was boarderline diabetic. But then in the recent years he put wt back on. I hope he can keep it off this time and this is the hard part. My brother went on this program in 1984 and for a few years he looked great but life got in the way and he has put it all back on again.

There is a book I picked up for my husband who is diabetic. It was in an effort to help keep the blood sugar under more control. The title is ‘ NO WHITE AT NIGHT” and the doctor who wrote it liked the Weight Watchers program but his patients did not like all the bookwork and counting so he developed a plan easier for them to follow after his own mother became diabetic. Just nothing white for dinner. and watch portion size.
How did it work for the hubby? He is hopeless...

John Daly lost a similar amount of weight only he did it surgically. Now says he has lost some feeling in his hands.

Daly before and after

With all due respect to Rush, he has lost those same pounds at least a half dozen times. Losing them is the easy part. Almost any diet works. Following a lifetime modification in one’s eating habits is far more difficult. Very few lose the pounds and keep them off.

Sadly Daly has many excuses. I followed his weight loss - if he had not done it he probably would be dead soon. He needs to cut out the cigs and diet coke next. I think he may have cut out the beer.

A real tragedy because he had more talent then anyone including possibly Tiger. He is still ggood enough to make a living playing if he stays sober and out of trouble.

I think one of the key components is going beyond modifying your eating. I used to be overweight but rather than moan about it like many in our country of fatties I went out and changed things. It wasn’t diet that kept the weight off it was exercise. I weigh less now than I did at 18 and have run several marathons and half marathons. Thanks to the work I put in I can eat all day long too and never fear gaining an ounce!

The Weight watchers point system has worked for a lot of people. Myself, I just dropped weight by cutting calories / eating light meals / lean cuisines / weight watchers Smart Ones meals.

To keep the weight off, I walk every day, ride an exercise bike, and I use a treadmill when the weather is bad.
