I'm sittin here with not much to do and figured this could be an interesting thread for those on FR that ride bikes and could share some info on bikes, maintenance, how to pack for that long road trip, horror stories (near misses). Maybe find some local FRiends to go ride with etc. etc.

OMG my scooter would be blown away by your bike. Boy I’m glad I moved to a state that has free MSF courses and lots of used bikes for sale.

11Bush, good looking ride with some great add-ons! I’ve never owned a bike with a fairing or windscreen in my 60 years of owning bikes. Maybe when I get a little older... >:-}
I have added a Works Performance rear shock, Gold Valve Cartridge Emulator front forks, Aluminum superbike handlebars, “G” Pak, Renegade performance exhaust, H&N air filter, re-jetted carbs, Rear Hugger, Bobbed rear fender, Corbin seat. It has 72 hp to the rear wheel. It’s a real back road, twisty scratcher. ;)

Here is a photo of my 1982 FXRS, my first Harley. Still going strong after 27 years.
Note all the oil leaks, Harley haters . . .

Here is Ronald clowning around on my 06 Ultra Classic. Not many people know Ronald is a biker . . .

My 06 KLR during one of it's cleaner moments. The bike I love to hate . . .

The 06 Buell Lightning Long, up on the lift getting pimped. Total garage Eye Candy. By doctor's perscription; he said I wasn't getting enough adrenaline . . .

Not many people know Ronald is a biker . . . When I was a youngster, I worked for them. We had a Ronald come to our store. This was about thirty years ago.
He had some hilariously choice things to say in the privacy of the store break room. LOL!

Just did a one-day > 500 mi. ride last week over Rocky Mountain Natl. Park (12,000+ ft. altitude) and back home.
It was cold.

500 in one day is a lotta miles..
I don’t like to ride when it’s cold. I find shaking hands, feet and legs aren’t condusive to my handling a bike very well..

I dont like to ride when its cold. I find shaking hands, feet and legs arent condusive to my handling a bike very well.. Yeah, I only had ventilated driving gloves too. Shoulda brought the insulated gauntlet ones along. :-(
Rain pants are a Good Thing. It was raining, foggy and about 35-40° F at the top.
Hot shower when I got home after 12 hours on the road was very, very nice.
I'd still do it again. :-)
