I'm sittin here with not much to do and figured this could be an interesting thread for those on FR that ride bikes and could share some info on bikes, maintenance, how to pack for that long road trip, horror stories (near misses). Maybe find some local FRiends to go ride with etc. etc.

fyi
Harpu's '95 Road King with more goodie$ than the base price of the scooter...
And, harpu with a couple of other riders at my last Sturgis in 2000
(too many crazies and nimrods now to be enjoyable)...
sweet..I knew a guy in Georgia, although I’ve now lost contact with him and all he’d buy were these types of bikes to refurbish. He had about 20 of them in his garage and every one of them was in mint condition..
NICE..
I’ve not been to Sturgis and won’t go..too many bikes combined with excessive alcohol makes for dangerous riding. I’d rather go there when it’s rather quiet myself..
might have to crank that one once or twice to get it to turn over..:)
My '07 Road King Screamin Eagle.
I had an '06 Ultra SE for a little while but didn't like the big bagger.
Truth be told I liked my '03 Fatboy Anniversary Edition best.
I like the sleek look of that ‘07..
Wish I could find a Honda 350 -4 cylinder.
I dont know how to post pictures here, but I ride a Yamaha Venture. Been riding for 50 years my first ride was a Cushman scooter.Got the Venture 7 years ago off the internet after I sold my worn out Harley. I had 3 harleys starting with a 1976, went to the 1984, then a 1988.The last one had 120,000 miles on it when I sold it.
The Moto Guzzi has soul and she is my favorite right now.
No scooter at the moment- I just bought a house and I’m scrambling to replenish my ‘emergency fund’. My last one was a 2002 Kawasaki Concours (which I loved) and the next one is probably going to be a street cruiser of some sort. Haven’t decided what it’ll be, yet.
Roadstar is a nice bike..
Have you seen the new Victory’s lately? They have some sleek bikes out there. I have no idea how they ride but they are dang good lookin..IMO
How about a 1952 Vincent Black Lightning?

IMO the Victories have the purtiest stock V-twin engine of any manufacturer. However they can keep their tourer with that ‘interesting’ fairing.
after posting this...I went on Craigslist and ebay and found a bunch of the 750’s for reasonable prices.
then I looked at myself in the mirror with gimpy legs and my bad back, laughed and decided it was no longer for me.
I am however looking for a quad to hunt with. as I can no longer climb the damn hill behind our hunting camp, this would be my only solution.
