And a coffeepot. And a vacuum cleaner. And bathroom-cleaning supplies.

All cleaned up now. I went out for a few hours (camera in hand) during which they were going to call me when the tickets were approved -- but I never heard the cellphone ring. (My car is noisy.) The agent left a message that she was going to ticket it.
I just called back, had it confirmed that I was booked on only ONE flight MSP-SEA, and approved the purchase.
To what kind of place are you going?

A rental house, on the lakefront (Duke Power hydroelectric reservoir) about an hour from home. It has bedlinens, but the owner hasn’t called back to say whether there are towels!
We’re not leaving home until 3-ish tomorrow, so it’s no big deal, except for my nerves.
I sent Anoreth an envelope today, including a print of the FReepmail with your phone numbers. Maybe you’ll hear from her if she wants a dinner out with adult company.

"And a vacuum cleaner. And bathroom-cleaning supplies." No.
If you must, take a dictionary, so you can look up the word "vacation".

I can’t live somewhere for a week, with seven Male Family Members, if the bathrooms aren’t cleaned by somebody ... and there’s no maid service!

Random thought ... is it a given that people with a lot of cats don't have any furniture? I'm sure they had furniture at some time.

There should be a vacuum in the closet.

I am Wonderful!
My septic problem was fixed today, and as soon as I got home from work, I had my first shower in 3 days. I don’t have to wash my hair and myself in the tiny sink at work tomorrow!
I love showers. I bet they have showers in heaven. :-D
I’m glad you were able to overcome the bureaucratic nightmare you posted above.
You two are going to have so much fun!

I love showers. I bet they have showers in heaven. :-D Oh I HOPE they have showers in Heaven!!!
Big ones, complete with lightning and thunder! With the sweet smell of the air afterwards, and none of the mugginess.
I suppose rainbows might be a little much to ask for, though.

"There should be a vacuum in the closet." Page 317, paragraph B, of the Flying Castle Resident's Safety Handbook clearly states:
"If there is a vacuum in the closet, do not open the closet door."

You two are going to have so much fun! Not this time. I'm going but she isn't. *\:-(
But frequently when things "like" this happen it turns out it was better. When she decided not to come with me to Vienna last fall it turned out that she would not have been able to get to her ailing mother's bedside before her passing.
On that one memory I will never forget: aboard the train to the airport headed home from my business in Vienna, passing through absolutely beautiful and tidy Austrian countryside, 8:15 AM... the phone vibrates and there's a text from LoM: "It is over."
I don't know how many SsIL (SILs?) have really great MsIL, but I was one of them. She's gone to her deserved reward; we just have to go on without her.
There is a possibility of LoM going with me to Madrid next March though, and she speaks Castilian Spanish (learned first) as well as Mexican (learned later). Might be amusing if at some dinner or other informal event she launches into a ranchera (typically a Mexican love song), and she knows a few even without her harp. "Those colonials!"
And a former priest of ours will not be that far away in Gibraltar...

Hard vacuum of space, we can intimidate it.
An Ork Upright vacuum?
Call in the heavy artillery, we’re in trouble.

I made it home just before the heavy rain... it’s so nice to sit here and listen to it!
Poor husband is out on his motorcycle. In Labor Day weekend traffic. Bad move.

Heavy rain?
It's been perfectly quiet here, other than the ugly light that came up this afternoon.
But I just looked at the weather radar -- the rain is going to arrive here in minutes.
A breeze just wafted in, I can smell it coming.
