I am Wonderful!

My septic problem was fixed today, and as soon as I got home from work, I had my first shower in 3 days. I don’t have to wash my hair and myself in the tiny sink at work tomorrow!

I love showers. I bet they have showers in heaven. :-D

I’m glad you were able to overcome the bureaucratic nightmare you posted above.

You two are going to have so much fun!

Oh I HOPE they have showers in Heaven!!!

Big ones, complete with lightning and thunder! With the sweet smell of the air afterwards, and none of the mugginess.

I suppose rainbows might be a little much to ask for, though.

Not this time. I'm going but she isn't. *\:-(

But frequently when things "like" this happen it turns out it was better. When she decided not to come with me to Vienna last fall it turned out that she would not have been able to get to her ailing mother's bedside before her passing.

On that one memory I will never forget: aboard the train to the airport headed home from my business in Vienna, passing through absolutely beautiful and tidy Austrian countryside, 8:15 AM... the phone vibrates and there's a text from LoM: "It is over."

I don't know how many SsIL (SILs?) have really great MsIL, but I was one of them. She's gone to her deserved reward; we just have to go on without her.

There is a possibility of LoM going with me to Madrid next March though, and she speaks Castilian Spanish (learned first) as well as Mexican (learned later). Might be amusing if at some dinner or other informal event she launches into a ranchera (typically a Mexican love song), and she knows a few even without her harp. "Those colonials!"

And a former priest of ours will not be that far away in Gibraltar...
