No, sion...you don’t EVER want to trade “burdens,” I promise. We are ALL given the “burdens” we are most equipped to handle. CFIDS is mine.
I try not to “complain” but some days, I just need “someone there” who can listen and not tell me it’s all in my head, and/or who won’t be judgemental.
When I whine and moan, just remind me that tomorrow is another day, and I’ll get by!!

.you dont EVER want to trade burdens, I promise. I quite agree. I have, well, many many years with mine and know to how cope with it (if not always successfully, the landscape is improving for all I get slammed from time to time). CFIDS I don't know...

If all the world’s troubles were heaped into one big pile, most of us would be content to gather our own and quietly depart.

And therein lies the gift.
I would not trade my illness for someone else’s “gift” because I know I am not equipped to handle it. God gives to us those things we are most able to deal with because He also gives us the means to deal. That is His promise.
Just remember, sion, He gave you friends and sometimes, those friends are healing. Also remember that when one of us (like ME!) tells you to “use cinnamon” it’s not “me” speaking to you.
From your symptoms, I can only tell you what I know.
(Did I write that?)

Ask any woman. Actually, gather 6-8 women together. Have them print their problems on a slip of paper. Put all the papers in a “hat” and mix them up. Then ask each woman to draw a slip and then ask her if she would trade her trials for those she drew.
The answer is no.

I wonder if that would work for men.
It might be that the only visible writing in the hat would be the hat size.

Ive been up two hours and have done NOTHING!!! Who posted this for you?
To: NicknamedBob
I suspect if men could remain anonymous, you’d still get a resounding “NO!” to handling someone else’s problems.
In this respect, we are all alike.
Men like to brag about their macho deeds, but push comes to shove, there are deeds that require less machismo and more empathy. Those who can, do.

It might be that the only visible writing in the hat would be the hat size. I doubt it. I only know "if the hat fits, wear it" -- and I don't try on hats very often. I did buy one back around 2000...

I have two sun hats and a church hat. I used to have a St. Thomas More ball cap, but I left it at a Folk Society 4th of July picnic several years ago; I suppose someone in the Folk Society is getting some use out of it, and maybe I’ll see it again someday.

Random thought ... is it a given that people with a lot of cats don't have any furniture?

LOL, good morning! Furlough Friday -- but what a day.
Learned this morning that my FF miles are temporarily not available to get LoM to Strasbourg, so I went to book my flights and ran into a mess of headaches with the corporate booking site. Wound up calling a corporate-contracted agent and wound up with better flights than I could get from the site, but she booked me on TWO flights from Minneapolis to Seattle. Hopefully the approvals desk will catch and fix that. Just waiting on the call that says it's done, now.

Oy, what a mess!
We’re working on a list of what we need to take on our vacation, beginning tomorrow. It didn’t occur to DP to find out whether the place has (for example) towels.

"It didnt occur to DP to find out whether the place has (for example) towels." Towels are multi-functional emergency supplies. They are substitute: clothing, blankets, pillows, curtains, and packing insulation.
If you're traveling in a vehicle, stuff every corner with extra (large) towels. You won't go wrong.
