It might be that the only visible writing in the hat would be the hat size.

I doubt it. I only know "if the hat fits, wear it" -- and I don't try on hats very often. I did buy one back around 2000...

I have two sun hats and a church hat. I used to have a St. Thomas More ball cap, but I left it at a Folk Society 4th of July picnic several years ago; I suppose someone in the Folk Society is getting some use out of it, and maybe I’ll see it again someday.
