We have some FReepers desperate to get back into the workforce after being laid off, with families to support. Great guys and gals who believe the way you believe. If they are local to you, wouldn’t you prefer to give one of them the chance over just anyone off the street?

“‘How to Start a Business’ seminar scheduled”

These questions and many more will be answered during a two-hour seminar entitled First Step to Starting Your Own Business to be held in the SBDC office at 2424 Sam Houston Avenue, Building A, on Oct. 12 from 6-8 p.m. Some of the topics that will be discussed include how to legally file your business name, how to obtain a state sales tax permit, what an EIN number is, what kind of insurance do I need and how to obtain needed capital.

The importance of completing a feasibility study, a written business plan, and cash flow projections will also be discussed. Examples of these documents will be provided as well as a number of other handouts that could be useful in the planning of a new business.”
