The Boxcar sounds like a lot of fun to work with! And a swing, too. Sounds peaceful and relaxing. :)
Thank you, Dear Billie! It's a Wonderful Place, and I'm So Thankful for it. Our Lord is Good!
We Christians can sometimes be a joyless lot, preoccupied with maintaining our dignity. Thats an odd attitude, though, since were joined to a God who has given us His wonderful gift of joy and laughter.
Its okay to have fun! Each family expresses it in different ways, of course. Im thankful that our house has been a house of laughter. Water fights, good-natured (albeit stiff) competition, gentle ribbing, and hilarity came easily to us. Laughter has been a gift of Gods goodness that carried us through some of lifes darkest days. The joy of the Lord has often been our refuge (Neh. 8:10).
When King David brought the ark of the covenant to Jerusalem from the house of Obed-Edom, he danced with all his might before the Lord (2 Sam. 6:14). The Hebrew word has the idea of joyful exuberance and is akin to our expression kick up your heels. In fact, in verse 16 it says that David was leaping and whirling. Michal, Davids wife, felt that his antics were unbecoming to the dignity of a king and reacted with stern severity. Davids response was to announce that he would become even more undignified (v.22). His spirit was buoyant and he felt as light as a feather.
Take time to laugh! (Eccl. 3:4).
Good Morning Mayor... yes laughter can be very healing.
I resolve to be FILLED with laughter and joy this day!

Have a great day Jaycee! Love the pig n’ shower!
Yorkie,
This brought tears to my eyes!
My neighbor just went through the same thing after the loss of her husband who was a Marine. She found a ring and priceless treasures from him while cleaning out his drawer.
In fact when she went to make funeral arrangements she found a note from him that had been attached to their Trust, that he wanted to be buried in the Military Cemetary here in Riverside,Ca. She never had been told by him about that but she quickly made the adjustment.

Hope to see some pictures of your project later, Kitty.
Thanks so much Billie! Just finished the pool things and am going to sit on the patio a little while with my thoughts.
Darling graphic!!
(((((((HUGS))))))))) Polly!
That ring was the closest I could find to ‘mine’.
That is a sweet tender story about your neighbor. My husband could have had a full military burial at Arlington Cemetary, but made it clear that he did not want that.
I got the CD of the bugalist at Arlington playing TAPS, and my friend played it as I scattered his ashes on our property. The music echoed across the red rocks, and there wasn’t a dry eye among our friends attending his private, simple Memorial.
I just saw which opening Amy posted for today. I know it will probably 'get' to you - and yorkie if she listens to it. I hope with good memories.
Just too beautiful for words, graphic and music....even though I got all teary-eyed!
I somehow knew you would - it’s a song that makes me cry, too, but so beautiful I can’t help it.
I love today’s Opening.
We have not all lost a spouse but we have all lost someone that we loved very much.
The memories can make us smile after the grief has subsided. I love looking at old photographs and remembering the great times and the fun.
I hope everyone enjoys the memories and the music today.
Thank you, Billie, for this Wonderful Opening.
I better get busy, I don’t have any special graphics made for today. Everyone might get a simple Thursday Greeting. :)
AMY...that song is just beautiful!! It did bring tears....
Thanks. You all are so talented with graphics/etc!
Again I moan that I am “plain-Jane”~
Polly
Please don't worry about making individual graphics for today - I honestly don't see how you do it 5 days a week! You're always such an attentive hostess - even on Tuesdays and Sundays, you are almost always here to warmly and graciously welcome everyone to your home on the net.
