I'm not taking a position one way or the other, I have been watching the "Birther" controversy with interest.
In answering my question, please go further than the obvious, in other words what would be the outfall and how would you handle the eventual constitutional crisis? Would Biden become prez? If he is no longer viable, would it then fall to Pelosi?
I'm asking the birther supporters to think long range about this.
What will happen is that people will go to the streets and protest to have Obama resign. If he doesn’t resign, the second American Civil War will begin.

It should be expected, though, that a Biden as president would strive to hold all the things the usurper has signed off on... so I’m afraid this is a pipe dream.

Mike Waltrip back in the day used to win NASCAR races by filling his roll cage with buckshot to make the minimum weight and then dump it on the track as he raced, lightening his car to go faster. He won, but was found out to be a cheat. We’re doing similar here to expose Barry and his supporters as cheats, dishonest to the American public, as well the world.

If forced to choose I’ll take Canckles before Obama or Biden anyday. Obama is a full blown socialist, Biden is a blubbering fool. Hillary is all about the power. She could never get socialized medicine through( as Obama is finding out).

You are correct in that phrases get coined and become part of the vernacular.
But you and I differ on a basic point: I don’t think we should allow liberals to set the tone and vocabulary, which is what they do, do well, and have the help and resources of a lot of powerful conduits to make that happen.
Orwell said “He who controls the present, controls the past. He who controls the past, controls the future.” What he didn’t specifically come out and say is “He who controls language controls the past, present and future.”
It is easy for us to pooh-pooh that and recognize that they are just words being twisted or manipulated to suit the goals of someone. But I refuse to play by that game. Words have meaning. If we allow others to change the meaning of words or phrases at will, that puts us in the position of constantly having to redefine our terms. While we do that, they are busy with something else, and we will be at a constant disadvantage.
But it really makes no difference in the end whether your or I think the phrase is right or wrong, it isn’t made for acceptance or rejection by you or I. Liberals aren’t all that interested in what we think.
They fight this battle for the easy ones, the people out there whose vote counts every bit as much as your vote or my vote. The same people who think Obama is going to pay for their mortgage and put gasoline in their tank.
I happen to agree with you. There is nobody who is going to be the standard bearer on this.
Where I might disagree is in whether people should even try to do something about it.
The liberals were able to incapacitate George W. Bush with a LOT less to go on, and they did it by the death of a thousand cuts and persistence. They continually threw things against the wall. They didn’t waste a lot of time to see if it had any real effect. If it wasn’t dramatic, they let it go, then threw something else. All the while, there were real issues to address and the President and his staff had less time to address them.
We don’t have to sling mud against the wall to see how much sticks. In my mind, the more news space devoted to debunking this issue, the less time and space the media have available to carry the socialist water for Obama and his team.

The constitutional crisis that they fear has already happened. A man was allowed to run for the president without proving he is a natural born citizen.
As for the rest of it does anyone not think that we would be much better off if everything he signed including a treaty with Russia be thrown out? That would be a blessing.

Careful, you just outed yourself. This statement infers your reason for pursuing the BC issue isn’t because you want the constitution followed, but that you disagree with the policies of BO and want him removed from the office.
I’m not saying that’s a bad thing but this kind of language can give BO supporters ammunition to prove you’re actions are completely partisan driven and have nothing to do with the constitution.
Notice that Alan Keyes and World Net Daily are the folks pushing the Birther issue. These folks will push the issue as long as the Birthers give them money.
This "scorched earth" brand of politics is slowly destroying our country. It goes back at least as far as Bill Clinton, when many conservatives were adamant that he be removed from office for lying under oath about boinking interns. It continued with George Bush with the oft-repeated mantra that he stole the election. Now it is continuing with Obama and the birth certificate issue.
Nothing will ever convince you. When he produces a birth certificate many of your ilk will be claiming something to the effect of "Why did it take him so long? It must be a forged birth certificate." In the meantime you are playing right into the hands of the White House "war room" so to speak.
In 2010, republicans will likely make gains in Congress. In four years, hopefully, BO will be voted out. The country will tack to the right again and the Obama administration will be seen in the rear view mirror as another of the left's experiments with socialism-lite. The system will work. One of the best things about our system of government is that it is "president-proof."

No, I don’t think I outed myself, but I am glad you read my posts carefully enough to think so...
I think he has been responsible for a number of anti-constitutional actions already apart from his ineligiblity under the Constitution.
In my opinion, that should be enough, I don’t think it requires more. Besides, BO supporters are going to look at any criticism of him as being driven by partisanship anyway, I won’t be able to do anything to stop that.
This is what I have to say on the use of the term “birther”, then I'll shut up.For me, I'm surprised only that some disciple of GOBG* hasn't yet called them the John Birth Society . . .To me, having a marketing background, the BIRTHERS have a million dollar brand/word that was handed to them on a silver platter. A Madison Ave marketing firm would spent a hundred million dollars of your money getting YOUR catch phrase on the lips of so many Americans.
Most people know it, they know what it refers to, it is one word, only two syllables, fits on the headline of every newspaper or periodical.
And it didn't cost you dime.
If I were an ardent Birther I would be screaming it from the mountaintops, driving it into the psyche of every American, every voter. I would get down on my knees and thank my maker that such a gift was sent my way.
Instead, you reject it and attack anyone, and I mean ANYONE, who has the gall to use it.
And as I said, you could do a whole lot worse...like “tea-bagger”.
