Kentucky is screwed. The other day I heard someone say the Chandler family is Kentucky's version of the Kennedys...

For me, this was a decision that I feel is right and a decision that will, with time, fundamentally change the way our nation and our state produce and use energy, while creating better opportunities for our people. I look forward to seeing more jobs, cleaner industry, and strong economic growth in the Commonwealth. I didnt even have to look it up to know he was a Democrat.
When you have FEELINGS you dont have to think about your decisions. You just go with your gut FEELINGS.
Democrats dont have to let facts and figures get in their way, they have FEELINGS.
Democrats dont have to let the fact that the Cap and Trade bill will destroy the industrial base of our country get in the way of a bill that will add billions of new taxes to the revenue stream coming in to the Federal Government to the tune of 3 to 4 thousand dollars per house hold.
NO. And they FEEL real good about it.

So where are the Republicans in Kentucky? I was appalled when I moved here in 2006, and the only candidate to run against Mr. Chandler that year was a Libertarian.

Cap and trade traitor to the US!

“Ive lived in Ky for 18 years and have never heard of him.”
Happy Chandler...his grandpa was Governor and, at one point, Baseball Commissioner—responsible for getting Willie Mays into the majors.
The traitor Congressman is riding on the coat tails of gramps.

We’re not screwed, but in order to beat this jerk, we actually have to RUN someone against him. My understanding is we did not in the last election. I got almost the same letter from Yarmuth, except he said he worked with the house leadership to get changes made. Pretty good trick when he admitted on tv that he had not read the bill. Education at the grassroots is the key to getting rid of both these idiots.

Thanks for the ping. I’ve had several personal encounters with Mr. Chandler. He is an absolute doofus! When he was AG, and decided to run for Governor, he came around shaking hands and was too stupid to pick up on the fact I wasn’t supporting him when I didn’t want to shake his hand. So glad I’m not in his district.

"the cost to the average family could be as much as the cost of one postage stamp per day by the year 2020,"Is this doofus aware that postage stamps will cost $3.00 by the year 2020?

So where are the Republicans in Kentucky? I was appalled when I moved here in 2006, and the only candidate to run against Mr. Chandler that year was a Libertarian. Republicans in Kentucky are pragmatic. We don't typically like to run candidates unless we believe the race is winnable.
