Megan Fox slammed "Transformers" director Michael Bay for focusing more on special effects than acting, but he doesn't mind.
"Well, that's Megan Fox for you," Bay tell the Wall Street Journal. "She says some very ridiculous things because she's 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do.
"You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, 'Okay Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it,'" he goes on.
Fox told Entertainment Weekly: "I mean, I can't s--- on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don't want to blow smoke up people's a--. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting."
Bay says he "100 percent disagrees" with Fox.
"Nick Cage wasn't a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck before I put him in 'Armageddon.' Shia LaBeouf wasn't a big movie star before he did 'Transformers' -- and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from 'Bad Boys'," he points out.
Bay thinks Fox could be a little more grateful, though.
"Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in Transformers," he says. "I like to think that I've had some luck in building actors' careers with my films."

Everyone knows Michael Bay’s formula for a good movie is, special effects, multiple closeups, quick cuts, multiple pans, lots of slow motion, and tons of explosions, you must also throw in a monster ballad.
no no
This is “Pile on Megan Fox Thread”.
The “Pile on Michael Bay Thread” is tomorrow. :)
it’s what folks want
America is now fat Wal Mart shopping George Romero zombies but they aren’t dead yet
not much appetite for David Mamet or Pedro Aldomovar..series fare
I may be young, but I prefer movies that have some depth and character development. I find myself watching movies from the 70s on back more often than any newer stuff. A movie like the Great Escape or Patton could never be made today as it would be seen as boring.
And to that I so, "Who cares?". Sure, Bay's films are predictable, cheesy, well-packaged and more than a little formulaic. But, they're entertaining as hell.
In today's atmosphere of actors, directors and producer - especially the last two - bludgeoning their audiences to the point of unconsciousness with their thinly-veiled political narratives and perspectives, I appreciate Bay's good 'ole fashioned big-screen escapism.
And, if Megan Fox would like, she can take her tattooed behind to the indie film world, where only the 3,000 people that actually watch those movies (in West Hollywood and the East Village) can appreciate her depth and dimension as an accomplished actress. Michael Bay can find another dime-a-dozen hotties to cast in his next $300 million epic.
I would honestly be surprised if Fox could spell “acting”.
I like serious movies too but I take my younguns to big movies....America’s ignorant eat that crap up
and Bay and Bruckheimer know that
Megan Fox is trying to burn bridges which is not good. Michael Bay was correct: a little gratitude please... you walking pair of tits with an IQ of a doorknob.
Gotta agree with Bay. If she wasn’t cast in Transformers she’d probably be stuck doing bikini (or less) ‘modeling’ for cash. Least this way she can do both.
Bay is pretty clever - the best scenes in both movies involve fights with the badbots in desert locales in the Middle East. I don't think that was an accident. And I don't think the success of both movies has been an accident either - because they happen to be practically the only movies that have come out of Hollywood since 9/11 that have taken an unabashedly favorable stance on the U.S. military.
It also helps that the comedic relief in both movies have been federal bureaucrats

Thats what gets me about this film. No characters. The two main ones really suck. Shia Labeouf just seems to scream and ad lib throughout the whole film.
If it was the script Shia was following, then hang the screen writer(s).
The only one I cared for was John Turturro, Sector 7 Agent Simmons. Turturro is a better actor then the role he played.
I’ll take the older films as well.
From everything I’ve seen and heard out of this idiot, she’s a spoiled brat airhead. A mind is a terrible thing to waste but Megan doesn’t mind. She hasn’t got one.
Bay is a capitalist, and I’m sure that drives Megan Fox nuts.
I’m pretty sure she is NOT GUILTY of anything
What is the point of a Megan Fox thread without pictures? Surely we aren’t interested in what she says?
True and that’s been enjoyable. But Revenge of the Fallen was so disjointed though I could barely watch it.
Bay may not have the depth but he usually has tight movies and this one wasn’t. Felt like I was watching the latest Star Wars. Sad part was all he needed to do was cut out about 20 minutes.
