Los Angeles, CA (BANG) - Sarah Jessica Parker disapproves of her "Sex and the City" character. The actress - who plays columnist Carrie Bradshaw for all six TV series, last year's movie and will reprise her role for next year's film - didn't agree with the raunchy antics her alter-ego and her friends got up to.

She is quoted as saying: "If the audiences had known my true feelings about some of the sexual content in 'Sex and the City,' they may have felt I wasn't the right person to be in such a series."

Sarah - who recently became the mother of twin girls, who were born via a surrogate - admitted she didn't even like drinking Carrie's famous Cosmopolitan cocktails."

She revealed: "I just don't drink, that's part of the problem. I don't like the taste of it and I don't drink to relax. It has always been that way."

Unlike her co-stars - Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon - the 44-year-old star had a no-nudity clause written into her contract as she wasn't happy flashing her flesh.

She said: "I was thrilled that the others did the nude scenes so well and they looked great. But I have to deal with my own modesty."

If she disapproved of the character, she should have declined the role.

I agree! She cashed all the checks.

Then take a stand. As the main character of the show, you were the "Cosmo" on Time-Lies-Warner-Turner's tv empire.

Young women emulated your behavior because it was presented as "sexy, hip, independent".

So now they are skanks with compromised livers and bad attitudes about men.

Meanwhile Janine Turner moved to Texas to escape the Hollywood rat race and work on Friday Night Lights instead.

If she was so strong about this, why didn’t she quit the series and not do the two flicks? Sounds a little hypocritcal to me. But this is Whorellywierd and the ALMIGHTY DOLLAR rules.

That's kind of like Madonna wanting to be a respectable mother. The horse is already out of the barn there girl. (no horse face jokes intended)

Perhaps she was okay with it until she had daughters of her own to raise.

I will say that the characters on Seinfeld were rotten. They did rotten things out of self-serving motivation. It was played for laughs. And the characters got their comeuppance in the final episode.

"I'm very, very concerned about the Bush presidency. I'm worried about the kinds of cuts in domestic programs that mean something to a lot of people, including members of my family, who depend on certain things from the government."

“I never watched the show. But loved Davis ever, since I saw her on Seinfeld and didn’t know who she was back then.”

It was the 2006 remake of the Shaggy Dog, that got me to ask myself “who is that pretty girl?” A google search later I learned she was on the TV show, which I still don't watch. Nothing against the show, its just I don't get caught up in TV series anymore, thanks to DVD collections of my old favorites from the 60’s and 70’s which I enjoy more than todays stuff.

So, Sarah, you’re either telling us that you don’t have the spine to stand up for your convictions or that your convictions are for sale to the highest bidder. Which is it?

"But," she failed to continue, "since the money was right I whored out my convictions and, well, one thing led to another and here I am. Have you seen the twins?"

She is an actress. Hired to play a part.

And free to say what she wants about it after it is over.

People who are actors play all kinds of evil people,,serial murderers, dictators, killer. Does that make them “morally obligated” to refuse good parts in films we want to see.

So while she plays a sexual whore in the series, in actuality, she disapproves of that lifestyle, proving she is really just a money whore, which isn’t nearly as bad. Got it.

Then Burt Lancaster would never have played Robert Stroud. Movies and plays would never have villains or bad guys if actors confined their skills to parts they “approved” of. What nonsense.

IF young women emulated the behaviour of a TV role then their mothers did not teach them properly. Women incapable of thinking and deciding for themselves deserve to be thought of as stupid and morally bankrupt
