I haven't seen any roaches big enough to put a saddle on, but the ones I have seen are nothing to sneeze at.

The bigger issue are the fire ants. You haven't lived until you suddenly realize you've been standing on an ant bed for the past several minutes.

Our family lived in NJ back in the early 70s (Hunterdon County). One of the things I loved about living up there was that you could lay down in the grass and not worry about being eaten alive. You just can't do that down here.

I was in the Petosky area in August two years ago, it was in the 70s and they were complaining how hot it was got back to Nashville and it was in triple digits.

I was up on the lake superior shore at Grand Marais last year on this date and wore my jacket every night becaise of the cold. It was actually nice during the day with 70 degree weather.

We are going back to the Petosky/Boyne Falls/Charlevoix area at the end of this month. Just wish I could find out about flyfishing in that area.
