The golden retriever, left, is among the most intelligent breeds of dog, while the beloved bulldog is among the least intelligent, according to author Stanley Coren.

BS. I’ll put a Cavalier in the top five. easily. and I’ve had three poodles and a German Shepard.
I never saw a Golden Retriever on a skateboard!

A very active, happy, gay...
Oh, great... that's *all* I need...
Poodles? Some of the dumbest dogs I’ve ever known have been Poodles. The smartest dog I ever owned was a German Shepherd. I also had a Springer Spaniel that was damn smart.
I have a beagle who I love the hell out of...but he’s just as dumb as a box of rocks.
Smartest dog I’ve ever owned was a Sheltie. Magnificent animal.
My Doberman is smarter than most people I know, and smarter than all liberals.
My Lhasa is smart as a whip. She can be stubborn and does things when she is good and ready. My American Eskimo is like the Border Collie. She is extremely alert, at any one time, she knows what each of us are doing. The Lhasa could care less.
The smartest dog I ever had was a Shepard-Lab mutt.I had to put a lock on the refrigerator.RIP-Suzie Dawg
Shepherds are the smartest dogs and I have two that can prove it.
One of them actually attempts to open the back door with her paws. She puts one on either side of the door knob and attempts to turn it.
I didn’t teach her this and couldn’t believe it when I saw her do it.
BTT
I bet the bulldog gets laid more.
2. BasenjiI think the animal IQ test needs to be readjusted. Which is the smarter animal? The one who will do anything for a treat, or the one who stares at you like you are some new type of extreme idiot and then gets fed anyway without doing a trick. The Basenji is known as the "barkless dog" because it makes a sound like a yodel. It also acts like a cat, grooming itself and staring out the window for hours! The Basenji can be temperamental and hard to train.
5. Borzoi
The Borzoi is surprisingly cat-like in its free thinking and independent nature. It wants to keep itself clean and isn't as driven to please its master as most dogs. This makes it harder to train.
Every other bulldog I have ever seen was as smart as a door stop.
This one is a old soul, she really is amazing.........I didn't want her because I thought she would be like the others, but shes an amazing gentle animal, she came to us with wire around her neck, she was used as bait, a runt.
Someone we have helped in the past saw her and felt pity for the first time in his life and literally left her in our kitchen......can't imagine not having her now.
My dogs, both Chow mixed mutts are living proof of the veracity of this list...
I’ve got a black lab/border collie mix. Smart, sweet dog, but the dang thing insists on herding ducks instead of retrieving them.
