He was perhaps the most exciting performer of his generation, known for his feverish, crotch-grabbing dance moves and his high-pitched voice punctuated with squeals and titters

The question I have been waiting to be asked is what caused Michael Jackson's heart to go into cardiac arrest? Being near 51, there must be an underlying reason for such a physical event. People have been so obsessed with his weird lifestyle that they have missed the real story—the contributing factors.

I’m going to watch Bonanza episodes on Youtube.

Mine is better - World's Dumbest on TRU.......

If the world fondly remembers Jackson as a wonderful guy rather than a freak who fondled little kids, we are in big, big trouble.....

I think the JFK comparison is ridiculous

Just wait until that poignant moment when Emmanuel Lewis salutes when the funeral procession passes by a la John John.

When he started grabbing his priviates is when his popularity started down. I loved Thriller. Actually saw him in concert and it was GREAT. But the grabbing was a little odd and I was a few years older and well it was not!! cool.

Well, I remember where I was when Elvis died. I don’t find this as surprising, but it will be hype a la Princess Diana.

Yeah, I'm with you there. Elton John will likely show up at the funeral and re-write one of his songs in his honor. I'm thinking "Please Let The Son Go Down On Me" or something along those lines.

I think I'll stay away from the TV for the next 10 days or so, otherwise I'm going to want to throw up.

I was in high school when JFK was killed.
That was huge, particularly because so much of it happened in public, the manhunt, and the aftermath when Oswald was killed also.
At that point the media was still in full Camelot mode and of course JFK was flown straight to heaven by a cadre of archangels /sarc

Elvis wasn’t nearly as big a live event since he bit the dust sitting on the can at home.

I think the JFK comparison is ridiculous also. A better comparison is with Elvis Presley.

I agree, and I remember both very vividly. The Kennedy assassination paralyzed the country for four solid days. Making it even more horrific was the on-air killing of Lee Harvey Oswald by Jack Ruby.

Just for the record, I couldn’t give a crap about Michael Jackson, alive or dead. I simply don’t care.

Let’s move on to more meaningful news of the day.

Yeah he is on knees thanking Jesus big time.

I am 53 years old.

I came from a family of 5 children. I'm a country gal at heart, always will be. My daddy was a Roosevelt Dem, and my mom a diehard Rep. They let us form our own opinions.

In these 53 years, I feel, I've about seen it all. My parents taught me to respect your president, nomatter what party.

I do not respect Obama as my president, for many reasons. I feel my late daddy would not respect him as well.

As for your quote above, I don't think it's Jesus that he prays to, unfortunately.

Don’t let the recent news diversions take our eyes off the ball. It is time to email or call your congressmen and senators to vote no on the Waxman-Markey climate-energy bill.

Do it!

Most famous person on the planet? Ever heard of another fellow who died young—executed for a crime he didn’t commit.
His name was Joshua ben Joseph AKA.. Jesus Christ.

Waiting for the funeral procession. Probably zombies jerking around in front of the hearse down Ventura Blvd. Venders selling gloves. F-16s overhead. Guys in astronaut suits moon walking.

parsy, who can’t believe this drivel on fox.

its like when Pres. Kennedy was assassinated

No its like when Elvis died.

Good career move for Michael seeing as his career was dead already.

I thought Kennedy got assinated because he was screwing up the country, changing too many things, pandering to the Unions, implimenting the left’s liberal agenda. MJ was just a secret pedo (imho)

I just remember my Daddy being very sad at JFK’s passing, and my Paternal Grandma at our house, crying in front of the tv watching his funeral services.
I was confused, as my Mom was not upset at it at all, because she was very vocal about her dislike of Pres. Kennedy, and even then I remember her talking about him with Marilyn Monroe.
As for Elvis, he may have had his faults, however he wasn’t a pediphile.
Funny how politics and “celebrity” have come to almost connect in the last four plus decades.
I blame this on the media. Makes me want to throw my tv out the window, and cancel my cable.

"Elton John will likely show up at the funeral and re-write one of his songs in his honor"

The photo of the year will be a pic from the funeral: Elton John in tears burying his head in Obama's shoulder.

Priscilla was 14 when they started dating.
