It’s news everyone has been waiting for.
President Obama’s dog has an official photograph. Sure, it’s taken a long time. But we can all agree, after looking at the photo, that it’s been worth the wait.
Nice
Sitting on the South Lawn of the White House, Bo appears to be collar free. Although we’re not entirely sure, it looks like one of his eyes may even be visible in the shot.
Along with the photo, the White House has included a baseball card listing all the important characteristics, traits, and ambitions for the First Dog.
His favorite hobby? Playing on the White House lawn and going on walks with the Obama family.
His goal as First Dog? Make friends with foreign “dognitaries”. (bah-doom-bah).
How about an interesting fact? Even though Bo is a Portuguese Water Dog, he doesn’t know how to swim.
Sinister
This is normally where a feel-good story ends. But this is Washington. There’s always something sinister lurking. And leave it to the guys at Gawker to track it down.
You can thank John Cook in particular — who may just be the 21st century version of Woodward and Bernstein (he’s that good — he’s both people ) — for having the courage to track down this story.
If you look closely at Bo Obama’s baseball card, you’ll notice that the First Dog has listed “tomatoes” as his favorite food. Cook didn’t think that sounded right. So, just like the famed Washington Post duo from the early 1970’s, he did some investigating.

Big deal, there are lots of photos of her.
I suspect the dog at least have a legitimate birth certificate unlike its owner.

Given to him by Ted Kennedy...the irony is enough to drop you to your knees...
Senator Ted Kennedy made an important political endorsement Tuesday [January 2009]. Massachusetts' Senior Senator endorsed the Portuguese water dog as the perfect pet for the nation's new first family.

"A Portuguese water dog is the perfect choice for first dog," Kennedy said in a written statement. "The Obama girls -- and their parents -- will love a Portuguese water dog. They're loyal, smart, loving and they became a real part of the family. And they definitely do not shed."
Senator Kennedy and wife Vicki have three Portuguese water dogs of their own. Sunny and Splash often accompany Kennedy to the Senate. "They love being around people and being part of the action," he said.
The Kennedy's just added a third Portuguese water dog to the family, a puppy named Captain Courageous or 'Cappy' for short. ..."

THE family of US president Barack Obama have chosen a Portuguese water dog to be the first pet.
In what was one of the White House's most tightly kept secrets, the Washington Post revealed Mr Obama's daughters, 10-year-old Malia and seven-year-old Sasha, have settled on a pup named Bo.
The Post published photos of the presidential puppy meeting Mr Obama's family. See the photos here.
The black-and-white puppy is a gift from Senator Ted Kennedy. Bo is scheduled to make his big debut to the American public early next week.
Mr Obama's daughters chose the name Bo because first lady Michelle Obama's father was nicknamed Diddley, the newspaper reported.
White House aides told The Associated Press that the office of the first lady arranged an exclusive deal on the dog story with the Post.

Ted "Water Dog" Kennedy...
Chappaquiddick:
"On Friday night July 18, 1969 around midnight a married man, Senator Edward M. Kennedy, was driving his oldsmobile on the island of Chappaquiddick with a single woman named Mary Jo Kopechne aboard when he, allegedly drunk, drove the car off a bridge and into a pond. He was leaving a party attended only by five married men and six unmarried women. Kennedy escaped the car and swam to shore. Mary Jo Kopechne was not quite so lucky. She died in the car, in the water.
Kennedy failed to even contact the police for a full nine hours, after he was told the car and body had been found.
The Kennedy family chartered a plane to immediately fly the victim's body to her hometown, Wilkes-Barre. No autopsy was conducted.
Her inner-ugliness shows on her outside. Were she a pleasant person, she’d actually look better.
Favorite food-Tomatoes or toys.
If the Obamas had ever owned a dog before , they would know that tomatoes, onions and chocolate are toxic to dogs.
And they would know not to let their puppy eat toys.
Maybe they just don’t care , it’s probably just a photo op prop, anyway.
That’s not his dog. It’s his beard.
Note the name is also the intitials of Dear Reader.
My guess is that the dog has forgot to file at least one tax return.
Toxic? YOu sure about that?
My dog eats lots of toxic stuff then. The only thing she wont eat is the stump of a celery bunch that you throw away after cutting all the celery off. She will eat the stump off the broccoli bunch though.
LMAO!!
Wow! A picture of Michelle 0bama where she doesn’t look angry! That’s rare!
The dog’s tail tells his body language:
This dog is fearful and lacking in confidence. His butt and head lowered, his tail is down (though not tucked under his body). He’s looking at the thing that’s scaring him.
Maybe because Michelle is trying to kill him by choking him to death? These people have never owned pets. It obvious.
The Portuguese water dog was used to deliver messages to and from the fishing boats and land. This was, of course, before radios. If there weren’t any sharks around the messages got delivered. I can understand why they appear fearful. I imagine they learned how to swim real fast.
