What really shows with stark clarity is how consumed with denial Liberals like Contessa are. She is incapable of seeing the irony in that entire conversation and her indignant reaction to Zeigler's comments.

Liberals are so insufferable and unjustifiably arrogant. They are unable to see how they could possibly be wrong or how someone could dare to challenge their opinions.

That interview was one of the (unintentionally) funniest I have ever seen. Zeigler absolutely made her look stupid (or as I like to say, "Like a Liberal").
