My oh my, what would the critics, the Civil War publications, publishers, and bloggers do if it weren't for the bad boys of the Confederacy and those who study them and also those who wish to honor their ancestors who fought for the Confederacy?

I call swatties Law!*And I'll define it.
"As soon as Stand Watie posts on a civil war thread he dampens all legitimate debate.'
You can view as you want, but you cant change the historical truth that South Carolina seceeded because they wanted slaves.
That’s funny, I could have sworn most of the lynchings and burnings wer to kill republicans because they weren’t racists like the democrat southerners??
You mean the one where Confederate troops did that themselves as cowhands and pioneers and sooners?
Your eright. God bless the slave owning south and states rights...to own slaves...Jeff Davis was your messiah, he is as big a racist as Al Sharpton
The only hate came from the South Carolina legislature that demanded the states rights to own slaves and therefore seceeded from the Union.
Funny how phony southruns claim some moral high ground when NONE of them eve called for emancipation and it took their favorite liberator, LINCOLN, to actually do it, and their best friend and murderer, JWB killed him.
I am surprised the Southrun racist lovers dont have a national holiday after Booth, after all, he killed their favorite constitution destroyer...
BURN DIXIE: TO THE GROUND: R/B
I am sorry our perspective is different.
I am very comfortable with those who post on FR. Read for many years before I posted anything, only then when I was trying to fix a problem I helped start.
It is not worth the effort for me to explain to you how I came to my opinions about that conflict. I do not live in the past, do not study that war, and it was very painful for my ancestors. That is how we arrived in Texas.
My family has lived in Haskell County since 1886, some of the land that my father, uncle, and brother own has been in the family for 110 years.
My grandfather told me that he never heard his father mention the War, although he was old enough to remember it when it was going on, and he certainly remembered Reconstruction. They did not discuss it, but never forgot the lesson from an oppressive government. Those biases were conveyed down from generation to generation. That has not changed. It is still present in most of Texas.
It is probably not possible for me to say anything that would change your mind, and you probably cannot influence mine. So an “argument” about something like this is absolutely pointless.
It was not about Slavery, especially during Reconstruction. That is when it became the most bitter.
Look we are on the same side now.
“Burn Dixie to the Ground: R/B”
Come on down but you better bring a sack lunch.
“Thats funny, I could have sworn most of the lynchings and burnings wer to kill republicans because they werent racists like the democrat southerners??”
Well, the “Republicans” aka Jacobites and Communists who came South were not trying to make “a more perfect Union” down here. They were here to despoil the landscape and to impoverish the people worse than they already were. And for their own personal gain. (The overwhelming majority of ‘em didn’t care a fig about the welfare of the Blacks).
And as far as being “racists”, by today’s standards, all Americans then, both North and South, would be considered “racists”.
The people in my home County, according to you, all Democrats and “racists” had to literally rise up in arms to run these usurpers and tyrants out of office and out of the State of Texas. Then they had to virtually do the same thing to the State “government”.
And I daresay that there were just as many “lynchings” in the North as in the South, if not more.
How long have you been obsessed with “White racism” and slavery.
There’s plenty of “racism” around today for you to confront. Only it ain’t comin’ from the Whites.

I doubt you and RaceBannion have anything in common. He is an Idiot and doesn't realize that Abe was one of the biggest racists around.

instead, you are making yourself appear to be a FOOL.

It is strange that people still look at what the North did in 1860’s as honorable. It was disgracefull and cowardly and should be considered the low point in the republic. Anyone defending the the North is a fool and a wanton boot licker that salivates over a strong central authority. Takes all kinds I guess.
inasmuch as well over 100,000 Blacks volunteered to fight for dixie FREEDOM, your post looks REALLY foolish, unless you are able to prove that those brave men were too stupid to know what they were fighting for.
do you think that the Black soldiers of dixie were STUPID??? (that's a YES or NO question, with no "wiggle room" for DYs.)
