A former New York state inmate alleges he was permanently injured when a prison nurse failed to treat a 55-hour erection caused by an anti-psychotic drug.
In a federal court suit, Dawud Yaduallah, formerly known as David Hanley, said the damage has caused problems in his marriage and he needs a prosthesis to "possibly restore some sexual function, The New York Post reported Monday.
Yaduallah said nurse Judith Lovelace's alleged "cruel and uncivilized conduct" occurred in March 2006 at the prison in Fishkill when his dosage of Seroquel was increased by 25 percent. Side effects of Seroquel, an anti-psychotic, include painful erections, the Post reported.
Yaduallah, 43, alleges Lovelace did nothing but tell him to put ice on his penis and then sent him back to his cell. Yaduallah, who was serving time for assault, said he was erect and in severe pain for 55 hours before finally getting hospital treatment to relieve his problem.
Lovelace, who retired in 2007, was not available for comment, the Post reported.
Then doctors should never prescribe this for hardened criminals.
Gives new meaning to the phrase... “dont drop the soap!”
Nurse Judith Lovelace? I’m sure her sister Linda would have known what to do.
Should have tried out for the prison “Pole Vault” team!
I think they just usually quietly pull the thread.
If you have a 55 hour erection, does that mean you should call your doctor 13 or 14 times?
For me a good cure would be looking at a pick of Hildabeast. Bet it had the same effect for Slick Willie.
read: pic.
Hah! 55 hour erection, teenager affliction! We knew how to take care of that problem.
Maybe so, once when I posted a dirty comment on a thead, it wasn’t pulled “quietly”.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy these type of threads because they allow me for a short while to forget the Hussein administration.
He is psychotic, how do we even know the “alleged erection” happened?
I blame Krissy Gwatkin and those tight blue chino's.
AHHHH! MY EYES!!!!
Yikes! What kind of damage did his erection cause in 55 hours?
No, you wouldn't. There is a reason Viagra and Cialis have the 4 hour warning on their products. Erections lasting that long or longer can cause permanent damage that makes having sex impossible or very difficult. This guy has a good case and if they left him without treatment for this condition for 55 hours they should expect to have their butts sued off. Since he wasn't taking a drug for erectile dysfunction the people to blame are the ones who prescribed this medication and then failed to treat the side effects.
What is more newsworthy is what is happening in our prisons. It would be interesting to see just how many angry men are being converted to the religion of “peace” and why.
