Weve all heard the expression, I dont get mad; I just get even. Reading about the judgments described in Revelation, one might assume that God will get even with sinners for their phenomenal offenses throughout the history of mankind.
The truth is that Gods final judgment is a necessary expression of His holy justice. He cant turn a blind eye to sin. In fact, if He doesnt finally carry out justice as described in Revelation, it would be a denial of His holy character. Thats why in the midst of His judgments, the saints will sing His praise: Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. . . . Your judgments have been manifested (15:4). Those who know God best do not judge Him for His judgments; rather, they worship and affirm His actions.
What should surprise us is not the massive scale of Gods judgments, but that Hes waiting so long! Desiring that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9), God is now mercifully restraining His judgment and giving maximum space to His marvelous mercy and grace. Now is the time to repent and take advantage of His patient love. And when we do, well join the saints in praising Him for all eternity!
Wow..I love kitties but not one like this in my yard! Stay safe...
That is so cute, Amy! Rabbits and kittens...nothing sweeter!
This is my motto: “Eat out at every opportunity if it prevents coming home tired and having to cook!” LOL! I overdid it a little yesterday but I just do what I have to do! I needed some pool chemicals and some ink cartridges for my printer. I left the cartridges in the car and since too much walking bothers me, I didn’t go back to car and get them. I will have to take a quick run sometime today to get them. Aggravating! (If I had just jotted the numbers down on a post-it, I would have been better off.)
Very powerful poetry..
So cute..I got started on outside chores yesterday before the 105 degrees hit then slept..I was sweeping my garage at 4am this morning..106 predicted today..
Watch out fer them thar bears!
Thank you for our lovely Daily Bread message today, Mr. Mayor! Have a good day!
4 am...when did you sleep? Today? LOL!
Re: Them thar bears! Glad I didn’t know about it until it was over in a way. I will keep an eye open though.
I slept yesterday..I’ll crash here pretty soon.
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED. |

oh my! I love to see wild & unusual nature/animals.. but not if they will endanger my dogs/cats , I often run into coyotes but they are afraid of humans & you make a little noise & they take off. Now what you saw.. or bear.. would be a bit more scary I do admit
That is sooooo cute!
Yesterday's outing with my MAN TO MAN Prostate support group was small but good. I was up with friend Dave in plane for several hours - several times. Got a wonderful massage, good food & on way home stopped & cooled off (92 & humid) at the LeDue Reservoir with Josy & Toby who did not fly, but remained on leads & under van in shade the whole time
Here are a few pix from my FaceBook page. I seem to have lost passwords & thus access to my two server accounts. I am hesitant to contact Paul the owner as he is a terrible accountant & I have paid on both accounts but the last time I looked it shows I was paid through June 2006. Thank Heavens for Facebook and Picasa for the pix storage/accounts
On second flight I unfortunately developed a dead battery (and forgot my camera bag with back up battery). So just as we were approaching my house - DEAD!!! grr. This shot was about 5 min from my home. It was the first time I had flown over my property & first time up in small plane for years. I had begun ground school in NC before I left the area. $$ constraints afterward prevented me from completing my training. I love to fly
Getting Ready to “go up”. Dave & I are in charge of the group & planned the day. He is a pilot & owner of plane
Massage Man Joseph in back seat shot this. 2nd ride after everyone had left.. long & fun. Great weather but due to approaching weather system visibility was only about 10 miles rather than extended.
This is Joseph, my massage therapist. He is a retired school teacher but has been into massage since the early 70s. He set up shop in the hanger. There was unfortunately a dead “something”...”somewhere” in the hanger.. put a bit of a damper on the massage times.
Hope all have a good TGIF & wonderful weekend.. very busy one on the docket here.
