It was hard enough watching those stupid environmental/green commercials and PC crap they semi threw at us last season, this is gonna lose a lot of their fan base and viewers. How pathetic.

Every time I tuned-in this season, Bauer was deathly sick and President Cherry Jones was dealing with some betrayal by her whacky daughter.

They were very boring episodes, I didn’t watch even one to the end.

Worst ... season ... ever. I still watched it. Even a bad season of 24 is better than most crap on TV. They jumped the shark even by my standards. For next season I would love to see Jack and Renee team up on a more personal level and save the world as private investigators. They both survive at season's end and find themselves filthy rich and living on a secluded island in the South Pacific. Fitting end for one of the greatest heroes and TV shows of all time. But if Jack ends up working for the UN he better start knocking some UN heads around in episode 1 or I won't watch it anymore.

I will wait on judgement until the DVD’s come out in late 2010. I never watch on TV...can’t stand having to wait a week to see the next part. The DVD’s are great because you can watch them right after the other when you have time.

As usual, the season started with a super bang, but quickly devolved into subplots too numerous to track coherently and too flimsy to carry through to a satisfying conclusion.
The season ended with a whimper . . . no, not even that; actually the season didn't really "end". They just left us hanging there.

I thought they would at least have one or two more minutes of showtime left to let us know what happened, but it seemed more like they ran out of film or people just started to walk off the set, or they just didn't know what to do next. I expect next season will be a real downer.
I do not plan on watching more than the first episode - just for some closure to the whole Jack Bauer as hero thing. Then 24 is done for me. I predict the next season will be so PC they will lose more than half their audience before the halfway mark.

Protecting the UN is not the same thing as working for the UN. Seems realistic. US agents have to bail out the UN quite often.

Jack even dressed down a UN official in 24:Redemption.

I’ll be there for Season 8. Seven was one of the best since Season 1.

exactly. I met Joel Surnow 2 years ago in Hollywood during the Liberty Film Fest, and he was very classy and friendly to everyone. I still find it perplexing that even though he grew up in L.A., he should;ve been raised as a Dem but ended up conservative.
