9.8 million people spent 1 hour of their lives watching Jon & Beaverhead Plus 8 last night. This was easily TLC's most watch episode ever. Jon & Kate even beat the Lost season finale in the ratings. That has to hurt. Sadly, I was not among the 9.8 million suckahs who watched, because I went to bed at like 8 o'clock. I wanted to make sure I was fully coherent when I watched, so that I could take precise notes. Kate is the master at this and she deserves my undivided attention. I watched a bunch of old episodes this past weekend and it really is like a master class in how to be a mega b*tch. The reviews from the critics confirm this.
UsWeekly compiled a few:
On Kate saying her life in the media spotlight is so hard: "Is it really, Kate? Tell that to a family in which the breadwinner has just lost her or his job, you silly, self-absorbed fool." - Baltimore Sun
On Kate saying the paparazzi following them is creepy: "What's creepy is having your children followed around by a camera crew. Any camera crew. Period. It's exploitation, whatever cutesy name you want to give it." New Jersey's Star Ledger
On Kate saying she's alone 6 times when Jon goes away for the weekend: "You just wanted to say, 'We get it! You feel you're the Wronged Woman! Aren't you savvy enough by now to know you're not winning us over?' This was especially true when she noted that 'all of a sudden, your kids are calling you your babysitter's name.' I could almost hear millions of viewers shouting, 'So stay home!'" - Entertainment Weekly
Beautiful, right?
Just from watching a few clips online, it looks like an episode of Faces of Death. Seriously, it's like witnessing their marriage get hit by a train in slow motion. They should be speaking to a therapist not a producer.
My favorite part has to be when the producers asks them what the future holds. Kate says, "I'm here" and Jon says "I'm here....for the kids." I expected the rabid beaver on Kate's head to pounce on Jon's crotch and bite into it. Obviously, when Kate pulled his nuts out she missed some of the root, because it seems like they are starting to grow back.
Producing and Editing make people into what they are not. The reality of personalities may be quite different than that portrayed
Well you not replying twice to everything would be a nice start, makes it hard to keep up with all your spasms. And you regaining some perspective would also help. I never said anybody should be burning in hell, I’m just pointing out that they’re idiots and screwed up their own lives.
You sure are unintentionally funny.
What can I say, it comes naturally. =)
I feel sorry for the kids, their lives have been shoved into a fishbowl by a couple of extremely vain parents.
but I didn't watch the show and I won't....but I watch episodes from a year or so ago....even from the beginning they had this cold marriage...he sat away from her.....barely looked at her....he seems bitter and odd.....
why they would put the children thru this is another story....
leave it to the American public to watch two idiots when they could have been watching one of the most fanscinating tv programs: "Lost".......
they would sit on the couch and barely look at one another with legs crossed away from each other and arms folded away from one another.....no touching, no intimate loving long looks at one another.....
I am not all that thrilled to watch all sorts of ridiculous things happen to people on an island. It’s absurd.
However, none of us have entered into a contract to have a camera crew follow us around all day and air our dirty marital laundry.
Frankly, I plan on keeping my functional alcoholism and Taylor Swift-obsession on the down low, thank you very much. I can foresee going to my grave before I talk ill abouty my wife to a camera.
See how easy that was? I bet most of America is doing the very same thing: Keeping their flaws private.
But whose?
Q: What do you call Kate with two black eyes?
*ducking*
Who are these people? I’m serious.
For the kids’ sake, I hope they stop the show and work on their marriage.
She’s bad to him, but he is pretty much a wuss.
I have twins, and my kids (and I) love watching the little kids. Our family in general is fascinated by multiples.
It also was interesting when they were doing normal things. I thought it was interesting how she potty trained sextuplets. I thought it was interesting how she organized clothing.
That was the first few years, and then it went Hollywood with lots of freebies and trips for the family. That’s when it went downhill fast.
I don’t care for the drama between the parents.
I called into The David Bose Show today regarding
Jon & Kate Plus Eight and His Mistress. My call
is at the very end just after the Sanford comments.
Pretty funny... Got in a plug for the “Love Dare”
at the very end.

Hi there Jo...
You were saying — I called into The David Bose Show today regarding Jon & Kate Plus Eight and His Mistress. My call is at the very end just after the Sanford comments.

Well, right now, I’m just trying to get a handle on who these people are, since I’ve never heard of them.
I guess I’ve been out of it or something... LOL...
The trouble is, at this point, I don’t know whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing... :-)
As you heard on the podcast, I only watched it
once for a few minutes. They are a couple who
had twins and then had quints. They star in
their own reality show. Kate isn’t very nice
to Jon and I’m not into reality shows. Have
never watched American Idol, Lost or any of the
others with “casts”. Hubby and I like “Survivor”
with Les Stroud.
You know..., I’ve got some relatives that actually watch some of the raunchiest shows around (at least that’s what I think).
On the other hand, some movies or shows can and will show violent or despicable things, but they are not expressed in such a way as to glorify those things and/or excuse them, either. And I can watch some of those, as they recognize evil but don’t condone it or excuse it or say, “we’re just human” and so on...
At any rate, I wasn’t trying to say that you were into watching those kinds of shows... :-)
