I was not impressed by Sen. Barack Obama after the first time I saw him. At first I was excited to see a black candidate. He looked youthful, spoke well, appeared to be confident a wholesome presidential package. It is so instinctive for most people to want to see blacks succeed. It is as if all humanity is carrying a collective guilt for what the ancestors of blacks endured. However, despite my initial interest in him, I was soon put off, not just because of his shallowness but also because there was an air of haughtiness in his demeanor that was unsettling. His posture and his body language were louder than his empty words.
It is surreal to see the level of hysteria in his admirers.
Snip......
I still think there’s a 40-65% chance that the oligarchy has set him up as a fall guy . . .
counting on and engineering his fall from power such that it will escalate into fighting in the streets . . . ‘requiring’ martial law etc. etc. etc.
. . . . With Shrillery at the helm . . . serving the oligarchy and dark lords with even more ruthless meanness, if that’s possible.
Hard to know how to pray about that one. So I pray in tongues and let Holy Spirit sort it out.
If it comes . . . and I think it likely that it will . . .
it will be engineered to hurt the maximum number of people and that the results will yield even more pain and suffering.
THAT is what the oligarchy behind OThuga lives for—death, hell and destruction.
It’s not at all clear to me that the press and the voters will see through Obama.
The other day I made the distinction between praying for our political leaders and praying for our country. While Bush was president, I felt that I could pray that God would guide him. With Obama, frankly, that seems pretty empty.
“With God, all things are possible.” But God does not force evil people to be good. He extends His grace to sinners, but does not force them to accept it.
For that reason, I feel that I must pray that God will deliver our country, rather than that he will guide Obama. If that involves Obama’s conversion, well and good. But I really don’t think that is very likely. When evil becomes ingrained and habitual, it is unlikely to change.
WELL PUT.
THX.

You could be very right!!
I’M NOT SURE that you have a sufficiently realistic understanding of the degree of the problem.
IF you have read even 1 or 2 posts per screen full from the link in my tagline:

Please let me know and I’ll bump up my assessment of your understanding of the severity of the problem.
Othuga either already is . . . or in a few short months will be . . . worse and more destructive to our Nation and the world than all the 10 next worst Presidents combined have been.
I think you are mostly correct . . . particularly about there not being a majority of conservatives in the country.
However, there is a core of Bible Believing folks who could be persuaded by a suitably wise and moving conservative candidate. Sarah Palin showed us that much.
However, at some point compromise we have ceased to be what we must be—both in terms of conservatism and patriotism. At some point, compromise is counterproductive and evil in and of itself.
I’m more for leaning toward MORE conservatism than less . . . just not foolishly.

They both want to keep Americans off the beaches...
I had a similar experience . . .
I felt grief, a retching, an anguished churning in my spirit about him first thing . . . or close to first thing.
THANKS for your kind words.
THERE’S A LOT
of things the last year . . .
that I’d have MUCH RATHER
been a lot wrong about.
BLESSED BE THE NAME AND WORD OF THE LORD.
MARANATHA!
Thanks for the ping!
I see that often and it is so defeatist that I suspect the motive of the poster. Sure we have a major challenge in overcoming this administration but Americans have overcome more in the past.
Thank you. I agree completely.
Roll up your sleeves, America, we have a lot of work to do.
Doubts only arise when serious thinking begins. However,a strong emotional attachment would preclude too much thinking just in case doubts might arise.
Of course, anyone who might bring up possible reasons to doubt will also meet that strong emotional attachment.
I've heard so many comments here in Oz about how mature America now is because they voted him in,it makes me shake my head in dis-belief.
You are in trouble,we are all in trouble.
"...greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." (1 John 4:4) I guess many of us are going to find out first hand just how true that really is.
God bless

Praying that God guides Obama seems appropriate to me, even knowing that Obama may not believe in God or the same God that you are praying too.

I tend to agree with you. As much as I would LOVE to see a true conservative elected, I don’t see it happening with the political atomosphere of today. Too many young people are idealistic and don’t think through what they are voting for. Schools have ruined a true thinking process in most kids. They tend to follow, not lead. IMHO.
I’m with you on Rhambo. His face is evil!
Yes, Palin attracted lots of attention, but McCain/Palin lost. Putting Palin at the top of the ticket more than likely would not make a difference - I just don’t think that the votes are out there for a 100% Conversative candidate - if they were, why wouldn’t the Republican Party be 100% Conservative?
It seems like of the 100+ million people that voted, most of them simply went for the messenger with the message of change - to most, positions were not assessed, background did not matter. It’s all politics and, frankly, McCain did play hardball, he played softball and at times wasn’t even on the field to play.
My belief is the Newt shold be the next Republican candidate, although he’s not 100% Conservative and has some baggage. Agreement here will not be forthcoming.
