I tend to agree with you. As much as I would LOVE to see a true conservative elected, I don’t see it happening with the political atomosphere of today. Too many young people are idealistic and don’t think through what they are voting for. Schools have ruined a true thinking process in most kids. They tend to follow, not lead. IMHO.

You sure sound reasonable.

Let’s face it, if Conservatives had the votes, they would have a separate Conservative Party. The Republican Party is right of center, but not that far right. Its insanity to think that the Republicans will nominate a 100% Conservative candidate - they don’t believe that such a candidate can win and I agree. I’m not happy about this scenario, but it’s true nonetheless.

Those posting here that will not compromise are almost as insane as the moonbats on the other side. They are marginalized by reality in the political marketplace. It’s not personal - it’s (political) business and Conservatives better wake up before it’s way too late.

Of course, being 100% Conservative in one’s personal life is attainable and can continue, regardless of the minimal compromise required to get someone close to a 100% Conservative elected.
