To FR Admin: please allow embedding videos in responses

Posting embedded video on forums threads is common among internet discussion sites. I don't see why we can't have that on FR. It won't put any additional burden on the FR servers and will save posters and readers the inconvenience of leaving FR to visit an external site (Youtube, etc). Policy makers please consider this. Thanks.

99% of the time I don’t watch video responses. They take too long and get in the way of other activities. You can split attention between reading a response and other activities — a video is too much hassle.

There is an embedded video right here on this thread at the top where FR is asking for contributions, so why not allow them inside user posts ? Besides, we already post static images, what’s wrong with video ?

Simple solution to that: put an option in the account settings to turn it on or off.

FR should join this century and have embeds. It’s hardly cutting edge technology and if you don’t want to click it, you don’t have to.

Totally nonsense idea. The reason we "texties" hang around here is for the "text". The refs for the movies are confusing ~ plus, you never know how long they're going to take.

Besides, anything longer than a 1 frame cartoon really isn't entertaining.

an easy solution is just to link your video response after you upload it to youtube.
