The last muscle car
sfgate ^

Posted on 04/03/2009 9:21:25 AM PDT by JoeProBono

Sexy as a swollen porn star on meth, twice as useless: Have you seen this thing? This sexy macho bloated Hot Wheels fantasia dreamgasm of a car-like drunken child's funbot crayon sketch? No? Because it appears to be a vehicle that at least some across the Big Autosphere are still secretly praying, despite the sudden overthrow of -- despite the deadly ultimatum for -- General Motors, might yet prove to be a savior.

Back in the ‘90s there was some cat in California taking that same 5.0 V8 and shoehorning them into Miata’s with a beefed up x-mission and suspension. He was still getting a 51/49 front to rear weight distribution and as you might imagine, they were screamers...

I WON! I WON!

(the little bet I had with myself)

You didn’t post the author, but you said it came from sfgate.

As soon as I saw “swollen porn star on meth, but twice as useless”, I says to myself, “that’s a Morfordism”.

Clicked to the link and discovered I WAS RIGHT! It IS authored by that sorry little faggot.

Deuce and a quarter. The bumper on this thing has shock absorbers that compress, and at five MPH there is zero damage....to anything. Not even the rubber strip. SWEET!

This monster will destroy the POS plastic thingies used today.

I was at a car show and had a chance to talk to the owner of one of those converted Miatas.

Talk about a pocket rocket!

I would not want to be the guy who had to change sparkplugs in it tho, oh was it tight in there.

Small price to pay for that kind of performance I say!

Now if I ever get my motor finished, it is gonna be a screamer. Then I need to find a car to put it in. But first things first.

See you on the NHRA thread JPB.

Cheers,

knewshound

I have 4 of those right now.
I am having a fitment measuring session for SEMA. I like them OK but not as much and the Cuda.

Yay now the Camaro is the fasco-commie car. I wouldn’t give GM a nickel if they didn’t have two to rub together.

"Ilike it but can they GET RID OR REDESIGN THAT CHEEZY PLASTIC YELLOW LOGO ON THE FRONT?"

Of course, you could think out of the box and design your own front end...

Still have this old Ford SHO. Fifteen years old, easy on gas and runs strong and fast as the day I bought it.

With cars, unlike women, you can love as many of them as you like! LOL

Oh, it’s just a matter of marketing. Tell Miss Morford that the thing was designed to resemble his boyfriend’s most important feature and he’ll be putting a down payment on one faster than you can say “latte flavored condom.”

The Great One’s idea of a green car - coming soon to a GM (Government Motors) dealer near you. Solar panels and a back-up battery are optional extras.

I have had my name on a waiting list for the Camaro for two years now,I think I will buy a Harley and a used RV instead.

I just cannot see driving a car that everyone will want to steal, envy will be replaced with bitter envy and outright anger from a lot of out of work or homeless people. Not even in supposedly affluent neighborhoods has the economy not affected someone.

Its just a big sign saying, look at me I have money!

Barry has destroyed the American dream fer sure.

My parents had a 1968 Le Sabre that I learned to drive in. It was a monster.

"What's that you say? You had no idea that Chevy was resurrecting this rolling mullet from the mausoleum of the '70s because, even after sucking up billions in bailout money, GM still doesn't really have a single fresh and forward-thinking idea, and hence the best they can do is scrape the barrel of macho nostalgia..."

Yeah! They should just stay the course and keep pumping out those little silver belly-button cars like every automaker on the planet! /s

There's a commercial playing now from one of the mini-SUV builders that shows the kids emptying out of school heading for the carpool line and stop in confusion because every SUV in the carpool line is identical, complete with the same drab color. One kid bounds out of the pack as his mom shows up in her SUV. Supposedly, it's different then the rest. But it's basically the same damn vehicle only hers is painted black.

While stopped at a light, some fool missed his brake pedal and hit me from behind at 65mph. I sustained a cracked tail light. He was extracted with the jaws of life.

My first car was a '68 LTD with a 428 cubic inch engine. I got a speeding ticket one week after getting the car.
