The last muscle car
sfgate ^

Posted on 04/03/2009 9:21:25 AM PDT by JoeProBono

Sexy as a swollen porn star on meth, twice as useless: Have you seen this thing? This sexy macho bloated Hot Wheels fantasia dreamgasm of a car-like drunken child's funbot crayon sketch? No? Because it appears to be a vehicle that at least some across the Big Autosphere are still secretly praying, despite the sudden overthrow of -- despite the deadly ultimatum for -- General Motors, might yet prove to be a savior.

“Their invention: the B0, AKA the Bluecar, a tiny, gorgeous, all-electric thing that looks like a Ferrari smashed into a Smart car at the Apple Store.”

I think we know where this... ahem... “guy’s” metrosexual tendencies take him.

The only problem with the new Camaro is that it didn’t make production lines sooner. It rocks. I hope GM sells a crapload of them. I’ll take an SS in silver with ghost stripes.

My dealer has 17 on the way. I can’t wait.

I have a 96 that would make a great weekend monster with this as the daily driver.

Ilike it but can they GET RID OR REDESIGN THAT CHEEZY PLASTIC YELLOW LOGO ON THE FRONT?

Seriously... I saw a line of Chevy’s at a local dealer, and I stopped to have a look. But when I got to the front all that stood out was that ugly plastic yellow logo on the front of each one.

This is OK but not ‘modern’ enough.

And a stainless steel silver or chrome logo would be a million times better

“ghost stripes” - what are ghost stripes? Whatever it is, it sounds cool.

They are just trying to tap the same success of the Ford Mustang. I think they have missed the boat.

I love my Pony.

It is a 1989 5.0 with only 80K miles.

I have done suspension work, intake, heads, headers, gears, transmission upgrades, custom interior and more.

It is like driving a V8 Go Kart!

Cheers,

Is it just me, or is that thing shaped a LOT like the current Mustang? Jeez, we’ve got a company run by Baby Boomers trying to pretend it’s the 60’s/70’s again. Is Big Hair just around the corner?

The Charger, the Challenger, the Mustang, and now the Camaro are all designed specifically with the retro-muscle-car look in mind. As for big hair - that was more of an 80’s thing in my neck of the woods.
