Nothing is better these days than to corner someone older who is willing to talk.I agree. That reminds me of a good joke! I was talking to Sister Veronica (our other ancient Sister) a couple of weeks ago, and she told me a new story about her family. They had eight daughters and one son (who got his own room, which is what suggested the subject.)
The son got married and had eight sons and three daughters. His youngest son, not unusually in a very large family, didn't talk. Nurses came and said he was fine, just had too many siblings saying everything for him. Finally, the mother went to the hospital to have another baby, and the father was left with all the kids. The youngest son got into trouble, and his dad put him in a playpen. The kid didn't like that, and looked his father in the eye and said, "Go to hell, Dad!" His first words!
The father called Sister Veronica to say that his son could talk, and she said, "Well, Phil, he's obviously been listening all these years, even if he didn't say anything!"

I was looking for names, and found this.....
Kennedy
Popularity Trend of Kennedy from 1900 to 2007. “ugly head” ... and Scottish name of Celtic origin ...
Kennedy is off the list if it was ever on.

Happy Easter to you too. A great service today and we ended with my favorite Easter hymn, “Hail The,e Festival Day!”

I can see rejecting Barn Swallows, but you could change it to Barnswallow and everyone would think he’s English.

Kennedy — yup, it’s Gaelic. (Irish, I think.)

One of the speakers (a guy) was pretty emotional.
Afterwards, I told him I hated to see a grown man cry. He said he hated crying, and I gave him a hug and told him his talk was awesome. He was so touched, he had to step outside and get himself back together.
I asked his wife how she got through it without dissolving in tears. “Because I heard it several times last night.”

I have a friend called “Kennedy,” but it’s her middle name. She’s a few years older than I am.

Apparently one of our visitors teared up a bit during the service. We see that from time to time with visitors who remember the “old” liturgy and are amazed to find it still in use.

We almost always have someone in the congregation who tears up. It’s like they had to BE there when THAT person gave a talk because it was FOR them. I don’t know how to explain it any better. But I’ve been on both ends, so I know how it works.

Wow! Lucky Pat!!
When I was young and swimming a lot, I practiced holding my breath so I could swim under water. I got almost up to two minutes and the pool closed. Ohwell...
Allergies are rampant, here. All year round.
