A friend of the daughter of Vice President Joseph Biden is attempting to hawk a videotape that he claims shows Ashley Biden snorting cocaine at a house party this month in Delaware.

An anonymous male "friend" of Biden took the video, said Thomas Dunlap, a lawyer representing the seller. Dunlap and another man claiming to be a lawyer showed The Post about 90 seconds of 43-minute tape, saying it was legally obtained and that Biden was aware she was being filmed. The Post refused to pay for the video.

Articles from two different sources mentioned in this thread described her as having snorted cocaine from "a red straw" that she supposedly took from her mouth, and "a rolled-up dollar bill" that was said to have been handed to her by a guy. I'm wondering if that means she supposedly snorted coke more than once on the video, if the story is inaccurate, or what.

As a parent, I'm thankful that I never had to go through it. I did see the devastation it caused in the life of a friend who lost two beautiful daughters to drug addiction. I wouldn't wish this kind of thing on my worst enemy.

Really? Are people making sport of her because she's an adult social worker ... or because she's Biden's child? I don't see her as having been political enough to be fair game for this sort of politics (not that Palin's family was fair game either, but I think we can be ethical and still defeat socialism). BTW, I see her alleged drug use as far worse than any of the accusations against Palin's kids, but I still disapprove of making it political.

She is also serving as a role model for troubled juveniles. If the tape really exists, she should be fired.

The woman on the tape clearly resembles Ashley Biden, 27, who is a social worker employed with the Delaware Department of Children, Youth and Families. She is also a board member of the Delaware YWCA organization.

Jeb Bush's daughter is or was a drug addict. Whether you like it or not, your family comes into play.

Sarah's daughter did not do anything illegal, nor was she out there as a role model for troubled youths.

Two of Ronald Reagan's kids were airheads, trying to embarrass their Dad. Maureen and Michael were great. Your adult kids are going to be scrutinized whether you like it or not. If the message resonates, it doesn't matter what your kids do, but how you handle the situation.

I don't believe Jeb Bush's daughter received special treatment. We will see what happens to Biden's daughter.

Believe me, Rahm Emmanuel, Paul Begala and James Carville don't have any problems assassinating the character of their opponents kids. It does NOTHING for us just to bend over and take it.

Apparently, I am that dense by your standards. Hillary is disgusting, but I don't think she's genuinely anti-American the way Obama is (no love for the Constitution, surely, but she doesn't hate us for being American the way Obama hates Americans). She wants control over "the little people", and doesn't care about anything beyond her own power, but Hillary's many faults have nothing to do with Biden's daughter.

I have in my entire life never used illegal drugs. I have, however, known people with a drug problem, and I can't imagine how anyone messed up enough to get as deep into drugs as Ashley Biden may have gone (or as deep as people I've known) could possibly get their lives back together with all their original problems, plus the medical/physical/mental/chemical problems from using drugs, plus the legal problems from being caught with drugs, and then throw in a public humiliation that drags out as long as the sleazy attacks on the Palins have lasted (just counting the attacks so far, and with no end in sight for the Palins).

I believe in human decency - Ashley Biden may be a troubled woman, maybe even a criminal if the story is true, but she's not the Biden who is an immediate danger to our country. We need to focus on the right Biden and on the socialist that Biden is VP under, not on trying to hurt her father by attacking his (relatively non-political) daughter. Biden is the weakest VP in recent history, and he's not needed for Obama to dismantle our economy and our freedom. Why get distracted with his children, when the real threat is the socialist in our White House?
