Ping to your quotes :)
Jonny, you’re brilliant. Thanks for the pings and thanks for giving this woman escape from the world 2 nights per week.
I was posting on the 1st thread and wondered where everyone was!
LOL!
lovelovelove that song.
Adam Lambert...What in TARNATION was THAT!?!?!?
That song is particularly interesting. Others have also performed it in amazing ways.
What comes to mind for me is Eric Burdon & The Animals rendition of Ring of Fire. It is an amazing rendition.
And I have to say, Adam Lambert who is not a country singer picked the right song for him to make it his own. It was right down the venue of the The Animals and their 1960s style. When Adam Lambert delivered it, he was definitely thinking of this style, the ideation of literal fire embedded into the sound vocals. I have to say, I am beginning to think that Simon doesnt know anything about music for his age group. He has very little sense of musical tradition, and meaning, and projection, and, for that matter, history of song and music.
Adams rendition tonight of this wonderful classic of music called Ring of Fire was absolutely on the mark it was fire itself. That is in part, the very idea of the song. I do not approve of drugs, but in part it was the 1960s and this was definitely an Animals cut of that song, and it was done perfectly.
Adam Lambert showed, not self indulgence as Simon would say, but genius for that song, and I think he even know some history of that classic.
Wonderful rendition, Adam, you got my vote, you have a genius in you. I don't give a damn if you wear black polish on your nails, damn good job, I would buy the song for sure.
Hey all, not typing this from a computer, so comments will be brief.
Faves this season are Danny, Kris, and Alexis. (Upset that the viewers booted her off so soon.)
Don’t get the love for Matt. Feel the same about Lil Rounds.
Adam can sing, but he’s absolute trash. He’s the kind of fool who will never mature beyond the rebellious stage. (A man-child, if you will.) He’s an embarrassment to all of us gays who live normal lives. I hope his rear is booted off soon. Oh, and his odd song arrangements don’t belong on a show geared towards the mainstream.
Hey new thread! and I made the comment board! WOW thanks jonny!
Can the contestants use teleprompters since we have one running (ah er I mean ruining) our country?
Once again for me, tonight it was Adam and it was really cool to see him change into a sort of Elvis-Dean kind of thing. He really has presence and he took a great song and did well by it. Definitely I want to see Adam move into the next round, hes becoming my favorite for this season.
Last season, I had my hopes that others would kick with the talents of Jason Castro, and how many times have I asked, Has Jason Castro released an album yet? I guess, even though he did well, you need to be number 1 or 2 in the AI finals to release a cd?
The way I figure it, Adam is as talented as Jason, and I really hope he can kick in with a cd release for his fans like me.
Other of note, Anoop did a fantastic delivery as well. Again, I disagree with the judging on Lil Round, I thought she was really together as well and I enjoyed her dress, hair-do, movements and song, it was classic Detroit. Hope she gets to the next round as well. And Danny! Wow!
Adam is the best.
At least hottie Kris is safe. Darn shame that lil din’t get the boot.
s-j, I must have been a sleep at the switch, but what happened
to ladyinred?
I’m confused, “In Memory of Our Friend”?? please dont tell me what I’m thinking is true.
ah, LadyIR. Miss your presence.
I called over 1200 times tonight for Kris, so I figure he got somewhere between 800 and 1000 votes just from me.
I’m just here to bump this to the 10K mark.
