The Judges remember it and do take revenge when they get the chance. They may measure their comments (at least the 3 real judges), but they are human and no one likes to be dissed — especially by children.
The winners were always sunny (even Screamtasia) and took criticism in stride.

He gets the show started off well with "Ain't Going Down Until the Sun Comes Up". He's accompanied by a harmonica player sitting at the foot of the stage.
The audience is on it's feet. Josh Gracin-esque.
Randy: Cool song choice. Not sure if it brough different out of your vocal capabilites.
Kara: It's the big notes that we miss from you this week. [She doesn't seem to like it, but is choosing her words carefully]
Michael: Country music is about having some fun!
Paula: We saw you have fun, which allowed us to have fun. Boosted your confidence. This genre suits you so well.
Simon: It should have been good. I couldn't understand a single word. Not a single word. You could be singing Norwegian. I thought it was a bit clumsy (audience boos). This could have
Michael: If we were all perfect we wouldn't need this show.
Simon: On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it a 1.2. (more boos!)
Michael: At least it wasn't zero! (laughs)
