700 years on, a proper funeral for the 'teenage witch' who had her head chopped off
Daily Mail (UK) ^ | 16th March 2009 | Beth Hale

The body of a 14th century teenager thought to have been beheaded as a witch and buried on unconsecrated ground has been exhumed and given a proper burial.

The girl, named Holly by archaeologists because her remains were found beneath a holly bush, had had her head laid at her side, a sign that she might have been suspected of witchcraft.

Holly's body was found six years ago in Hoo, Kent, during an excavation by archaeologists prior to work starting on a housing development and was taken away for research.

They reconstructed her.

They are outraged that some so called Christians beheaded a “witch” hundreds of years ago but none seem concerned about the beheading’s by today’s muslims

From a Religious point of view, what is the "danger" in a reburial of someone who was deemed (at he time) to be in violation of church practice. I mean, is there some dogmatic ramifications?

Just curious.

Perhaps she was beheaded by a muslim. It’s more in keeping with THEIR way of doing things.

But what if she really was a witch?

I think that's a pretty safe bet. They didn't get too much wrong back in the 1300s, unlike today.

In fact, a doctor recently diagnosed my son with liver cancer and recommended chemotherapy, but I knew he just had a demon living in his stomach.

Those folks are going to be regretful when she regains her powers and starts putting spells on them.

Witch, n. (1) An ugly and repulsive old woman, in a wicked league with the devil. (2) A beautiful and attractive young woman, in wickedness a league beyond the devil.

Or she might have been the victim of a serial killer who hid her body.
