"Letter from the Boss"

LETTER FROM THE BOSS.....

As the CEO of this organization, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barrack Obama is our President, and that our taxes, and government fees will increase in a BIG way. To compensate for these increases, our prices would have to increase by about 10%. Since we cannot increase our prices right now due to the dismal state of the economy, we will have to lay off six of our employees instead. This has really been bothering me, since I believe we are family here and I didn't know how to choose who would have to go. So, this is what I did. I walked through our parking lot and found six Obama bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks will be the ones to let go. I can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem. They voted for change; I gave it to them.

I will see the rest of you at the annual company picnic.

I wish it really were possible to let employees go in this fashion to give some people poetic justice, but by the same token, I don’t, since the same thing could be done to republicans by vindictive dem managers.

Variations of this have been kicking around for some time, one in particular a longer more “official” looking one that probably now resides in Snopes.

But it never hurts to recycle a new classic.

Most small businesses can release anyone for any reason, including political views.

It depends on the employment contract.

The 1st Amendment doesn’t apply to private contracts, such as employment.

I recall last summer someone wrote in who was a contractor. He stated that he had 2 or 3 workers who were huge Obama supporters, and that he'd decided that if Obama were elected, they'd be out.

I'd love to hear the follow up.

You are correct. When Pres. Bush was running for his second term, a Bush supporter employed at an East coast ice cream shop belonging to two Ben & Jerry types was fired for being Republican. He went to the EEOC and was told that there are no laws against discrimination on the basis of politics. Of course, that may be different now if Democrats are fired for being obnoxious BO worshipers.

While I agree with your sentiment and as a basic fairness issue, I think that horse left the barn long ago with over 90% of teachers, professors, movie industry, print media, television broadcast media being hard left liberals.

I’m not fooled. It’s too bad that most employers cling nearly exclusively to Democrats. ...worked for many different companies in temp job throughout the ‘90s and beyond.

IMO, don’t buy anything that you don’t need for a few years. Learn to grow, make and repair your own things. Avoid debts. We very much need new families in business and politics.

It's already been done. Way back around 1980 or before, employers had only "creed" removed from the EEOC policy, so that they could turn their workplaces into left/liberal whorehouses. Now they're all quite tied in with big government...and pork programs in their states.

Hollywood will soon feel a huge economic disaster or tsunami, they are not immune because their movies and entertainment are leftist driven. George Soros and all his little gnomes, President Obama being one, are circling the drain and will soon be sucked into oblivion. This is not wishful thinking, it is a clear look into the future and is the only good thing to come out of this disaster. The print media has already been cut down and soon the cable boys will die a slow and agonizing demise. Movies and their noxious “stars” will go the way of the Dodo and we will be blessed with silence from the home of creatures like Oliver Stone and Susan Sarandon, Jane Fonda and the other commies out there. OK, rant is over but, happily, it is prophetic.
