I wish it really were possible to let employees go in this fashion to give some people poetic justice, but by the same token, I don’t, since the same thing could be done to republicans by vindictive dem managers.

Most small businesses can release anyone for any reason, including political views.
It depends on the employment contract.
The 1st Amendment doesn’t apply to private contracts, such as employment.

I dont, since the same thing could be done to republicans by vindictive dem managers. While I agree with your sentiment and as a basic fairness issue, I think that horse left the barn long ago with over 90% of teachers, professors, movie industry, print media, television broadcast media being hard left liberals.

It's already been done. Way back around 1980 or before, employers had only "creed" removed from the EEOC policy, so that they could turn their workplaces into left/liberal whorehouses. Now they're all quite tied in with big government...and pork programs in their states.
