Did anyone hear the asinine question Maddow asked of Duke Energy CEO Jim Rogers? After asking him if Duke was profitable (what, she doesn't have a producer or researcher to prepare her for an interview?) he replied that yes, they were. Now comes the asinine question. "Why can't you operate at a loss to make up for all the pollution your company has caused?"
Stand up and walk off the set. Better yet, don’t agree to appear in the first place!

If you are not rooted in common sense then you can not put forth common sense thought.
He should have asked her, “Why don’t you go live in a cardboard box to make up for all the energy you’ve used?”
his electricity does make it possible for Maddow’s show to go out, so indeed he is responsible not only for pollution but for out and out sewage ( Maddow, the GE employee—tilting for windmills)
It's plain that the current administration is seeing to it that those customers are now operating at a loss.
Pinhead Maddow should be satisfied.

Of course the left has no plan to shut off the evil polluting energy companies, as her question acknowledges. They just want to steal the money and control the companies.
Proper response:
“I’ll cut the power off of your house and we can meet back here in a week and talk about it.”

Rachel, if we operate at a lose we aren’t able to pay our debts. I’d be all for that if our creditors would then let us off the hook, but if they don’t, the law requires we pay them. If we don’t pay them, they take us to court to force us to. Of course, if we’re operating at a lose we have no money to pay them, so we have to start selling our equipemnt and lay off our workers to get the cash to pay our debts. Now, dear, do you follow? If we don’t make a profit, we have to shut down, fold our tents, and go home. All the people (working class, minorities and women, maybe even lesbian women!) who work for us either lose their jobs, or don’t get paid. And all those customers (again, some of them very well might be lesbians) who rely on us for power, energy, have to get it somewhere else, and pay a lot more. I hope this explaination has enlightened you somehow. Do you have another question?

Anytime this dingbat makes a comment about the economy she should be reminded of this question. Ten bucks says she doesn’t even realize how profoundly stupid the remark was.
