I am enjoying your comments about the Bachelor and After the Rose Ceremony.

Aqua, I kept coming back to my computer during the commercials and finding comments from jaycee and yorkie and Billie such as: "WOW!!" and "O M G!" and "I am SPEECHLESS!", so I was expecting something big. Trying to guess what it could be as I was catching up to the rest of you, at one point I wondered if the one who was not chosen showed up at the After the Rose Ceremony and announced to Jason and everyone, "I'm pregnant". I mean, they did have overnights together and enough time had passed. LOL! Of course it wasn't that, but what did happen was equally as surprising.

So, are he and Molly engaged now? I didn't get to see Jimmy Kimmel yet (we TIVO'd it to watch later). I saw a couple interviews he did while the show was airing and he said he was engaged and he seemed very happy....so that must have been when he was still "with" Melissa.

Thank you, JC. I found that picture this morning - and just had to share it. (Finding the right poem was the hard part.)

I am still speechless! I just think something as serious as breaking an engagement should be a private matter. To do it on national tv, is unforgivable, IMHO.

I missed part of Jason on Jimmy Kimmel last night, but Jason did say that they (Jason and Molly) are together now, but no, they aren’t engaged.

WORD!!! But I find that each year they get more and more 'shocking', AND they drag it out. It used to end with the final rose ceremony. (didn't it?) We were led to believe that they all "lived happily ever after", even though statistics show that of all the seasons of Bachelors and Bachelorettes, the success of their relationships boils down to TWO couples.

I love these, jaycee! ALL of them! But in honor of Music Week, I will pay particular attention to "this" one:

17. Do you realize that in about 40 years, we’ll have thousands of old ladies running around with tattoos?

(And rap music will be the Golden Oldies!)

Great opening - and what better voice to open Country music day, than Johnny Cash! Thank you!

Thank you, yorkie. :)"I Walk The Line" is probably the first song I think of when I think of Johnny Cash. He does have a very distinctive sound, and the guitar beat stands out in most of his.

He Stopped Loving Her Today
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

“He Stopped Loving Her Today”

Single by George Jones
from the album I Am What I Am
Released March 1980
“He Stopped Loving Her Today” is a song by country music artist George Jones that has been named in some surveys as the greatest country song of all time.[citation needed] It was a single on the album I Am What I Am. Released in 1980, the song was Jones’s first #1 single in six years. The melancholy song was written by Bobby Braddock and Curly Putman.

It is about a man who was betrayed by his lover. Despite her actions, he never stopped loving her the rest of his life – the day he stopped loving her turned out to be the day he died.

For all the softies at Amy's Place:

~ Tissue Alert ~
If you're a softie like I am, you may cry when you hear this song.
Unless you are/were an American Idol fan, you may not know Kellie's
backstory. She was raised by her grandmother, after her mother abandoned
her when she was a child. Kellie wrote this song and included it in her
first album after she was on Idol (2006 - the year Taylor Hicks won). It's
heart-wrenching, and she had the hardest time getting through the words
the first time she performed it live. She also wrote a sweet song for her
grandmother on the same album - she named that song "My Angel."

I think all the tatoos on those women will be a pretty ugly sight, too. Just think, many of them won’t even be on the body in the place they started out! :)

I always thought tissues were needed for that one, too! My husband ran into George Jones one time. Frank was a salesman and he was going into a restaurant and George Jones was leaving. He said he almost knocked G.Jones down (salesmen are known to move fast). He went after George and apologized and told him how much he loved his music and it was a thrill to get to shake his hand. Hubby truly loved George’s music!
